All those moaning that Hughes has no League Two experience, that’s like saying a doctor isn’t qualified enough to work in a Mc Donald’s. You didn’t want Adam’s, you didn’t want Evans, you’ve got Hughes, so zip it and support your team! Perfect fit for the club, Premiership within 5 years.

 

Don't recall saying you'd done anything. I was just responding to the general negatives Songo gets. And let me know when that term became just associated with South London. My son, brought up in Thornton (clue!! not South London!!) - uses it all the time, when wanting to express that term.

 

But you're talking about the quality of the signings. That still isn't Rupp not investing. Adams did not want to take a punt on a young up and coming striker, he felt experience was what was needed. And he was given the full authority. That's not a tight chairman, just a daft one - for letting him do what he wanted.

And we've no idea if Dion Pereira is "bang average or absolute dross", because unluckily for us, he's been injured. Or do we now assume players who we've not seen must be crap?

Both Wayne Jacobs and Mezza were embarrassingly one footed. There are numerous current Premier League players whose weaker foot is strictly for standing on.

Comes here, and he's injured the second he gets off the coach - now Nathan Jones at Luton is wondering what the hell the problem is, because apparently he didn't get injured at all when he was there, yet he keeps moaning about his calves.

Sounds like an utter bust, and a predictable bust at that.

Same as everyone else has said already never saw this coming, and some may even argue it goes against a lot of what many of us said was needed in arguably a manager on the way down, but to be fair regardless weather or not it works in the long run no one can deny that it's created a much needed lift at the club in it's time in need. He may not have the first hand knowledge of this level but you don't go through a career in the game he has without collecting a wealth of friends and contacts along the way that will be vital to him to provide information. With regards the team overhaul end of season any top end players at our level potentially available to us would no doubt love the chance to work under someone of his stature, so should definately help in that department you'd think, also maybe the dross we currently have step up a level desperate to be involved, I've a sneaky feeling too some of the long term casualties make an amazing quicker recovery over the next couple weeks.

Good interview with Hughes yesterday. Real humility and respect on display, as opposed to Adams regular stance of coming across like he was doing us a favour by being here.
