We do based on Saturdays match. Having said that I don’t think I have watched any first match of the season where they are all fit and ready to do. I wondered if they did any formation and tactics work, I presume some of that is classroom work?

 

Fitness training? After watching a Hughes side for a 3rd season I can safely say fitness training is very very limited

 

We always seem to take ages to get match fit. I agree Crawley we’re eager to show that the rumours of their demise were untrue.

Realistically he needs to see the season out as the club don't want to be hiring and firing and we don't have the money to pay him off but jeez he needs to start helping himself. He's now stuck between two mindsets. He's gone all for wing backs and desperately wants it work but he knows a flat back four served him well. If he wants any chance of success he needs to stick and not keep twisting. Personally I prefer a flat back four but if he's adamant about the back three he needs to stick with it.

I must admit, the use of the word Feminine is confusing, well to me anyhow, in this context

 

I think he is a closed off man apart from his very close family and friends I doubt anyone sees the inner Mark. Just look at Harry Lewis interview this morning. Hell would freeze over before MH did and interview like that! I don’t think he is comfortable in front of camera even though he has done it a million times he makes himself look cool and relaxed. Body language gives him away. He actually reminds me of Parky in his demeanour. Including the folded arms.

 

I honestly want it to work he comes across as a nice fella but so was Bowyer and look how that turned out maybe his arrogance will be his undoing if he actually asked the senior players what they thought then we may actually get somewhere ............ the best managers in the game have done this kind of thing so why can't he ?????? Maybe he looks up to Fergie and his way of management the my way or the highway but that provided success for Fergie this as it stands isn't I mean what do we do now ???? Get rid now and have someone in now and hope that he can get these lot going on the other hand he actually may not like what he's left with .......... Or stick with Hughes and hope that he turns it around and we push for promotion or the other hand we see a season of nothing and the level of toxic rise even higher................he in my opinion has the next 4 games and we should be looking at at least 7 points .......... we pull in a poor return then sadly he's got to go ..............Mansfield will be tough but the other 3 are more than winnable

I agree, the next four games are crucial to him. Anything less that 4 points and he's gone (or should be). 4 - 6 and it's still debateable, 7 - 9 he's to turn a corner, 9 plus and he's bloody cracked it.

 

Who is the guy I thought he talked a lot of sense IMO.
Certainly with regards allowing others to "get on with their job" I forget the player in this particular case (maybe someone can put a name to the incedent) where I believe Hughes took the word of one of his backroom staff maybe on a medical issue, letting the guy play and as it turned out it was the wrong call.
Hughes reaction was to say I'll be the man making all the calls in future.
For a neutral if that is the case I think he's bang on with regards fans concerns even with his over used term "feminine passive style of management" .

Have a listen to this, he's right with regards Crewe offering little goal wise but that is washing over another very poor first half performance, thank goodness we improved in the second half.
