    £30 Value
    £10 profit for company
    £10 Distribution and delivery
    £10 For food supplied,
Would have been cheaper and better to just let Amazon do it for half the cost,
Well Done ALDI for stepping in with thousands of pounds of food for the kids

Some of the photos of those boxes would have been laughable if they weren't true. Look upon this way, the pandemic is just another great business opportunity, just look at how mask prices went through the roof for something apparently crucial in controlling the spread of the virus. To me its just another example of the scoiety we live in. Remember the money raised for Grenfell, or the furlough scheme to aid those suffering from loss of work during the pandemic? Where fraudulent claims for a handout were by by the bucketload? Well these 'food boxes' are just the same, fraud of public taxes or money meant to help others. It frustrates you but you won't ever stop it.

Thought currently it was done by a school by school basis depending on their catering contractor, so some by Compass and some by others which is why different schools are doing different things. Some schools parents have had to collect things daily etc

Yes, they are. I should have said the majority are being provided by Compass

Look at this absolute disgrace of a human being.

The utter plonker has a chance on national television to regain a bit of humanity and say "Look, we had an alternative plan and that's what we were trying to push through, but yes I regret rejecting this approach as it's more expedient and all that matters is the health of our nation's children", instead he's tried to look clever with a typical politician's answer and ended up stumbling over his own feet like the immense clown that he is.

But at least we understand he couldn't have answered like that because he doesn't understand what shame is, and it simply didn't occur to him to do everything in his power to ensure no child goes hungry because he simply can't empathise with people he doesn't even nearly understand.

As someone who generally agrees that the government shouldn't be looked to for a solution to every single problem i cringe like hell at that interview?

Why do these people struggle to explain the benefits of smaller government and finding solutions in the community. It's infuriating.

He won't say he regrets it because no doubt at some point he will have to vote for something similar so didn't want that throwing in his face but equally didn't want to say he didn't regret it because he doesn't want to look heartless. Being unable to clearly explain it makes him look like a proper idiot!

Unfortunately doesn't matter who's in charge, although the Tories do take it to another level. Just vote for who's less corrupt I guess.
