Watching on iFollow, great game, very gripping.

Our fans deserve a special mention I genuinely think they got us over the line. Don’t recall seeing a city away end that boisterous for a very long time

 

Get a grip. I went last night, and it was the best atmosphere i've been to this season (only missed 2 away games so far)

It's refreshing to see the passion, and it carries through to the players. Bonding between fans and players is one of the key ingredients to bringing success

 

I know it was a dramatic and therefore emotional finish yesterday evening, but have we seen this level of obvious motivation and celebration across the squad in recent years? Got to stand us in good stead.

Up the bantam chickens.

 

That was THE best all round performance I have seen from City so far this season.
From defending , especially when down to 10 men, to attacking. The work rate, effort and overall commitment was superb.
MORE OF THE SAME PLEASE.

 

They’re a likeable bunch this lot. The strongest bond between club and fans for a while. If we can just sort our bloody home form out…

 

We have never been out of the 'mix' to be fair. Only 3 league defeats all season, 2 of which came very early in season.

2 points off autos, we are in a good position.

Just need to turn them home draws into wins now

 

A lot of good performances tonight. One thing I have noticed is that Brad Halliday is getting better and better. I have been one of his biggest critics but the role is being asked to play in getting forward more from fullback he says is quite new to him, and I had forgotten that he missed nearly all last season due to a cruciate ligament injury. He had a very good effort on goal tonight from just outside the box, something I wish more of our players would try.

 

The question for Sparkie now is does he play Timi along side Critchlow or does he bring Song'o in for Platt, for me Songo'o hasn't done a bad job when called upon.

 

Yep, Harry Lewis singing the Andy Cook song and Eieieio at the end shows how much he's certainly enjoying it.

 

We mixed our game up tonight played it long at times and possession football at times has Sparkie seen the light, these two commentators from Mansfield are pathetic did they expect us not to waste time when we could, Christ the ref gave them 11 extra minutes to equalise.

 

Went tonight and a great win and a superb goal by Cook as he chased the defender down, robbed him of the ball cut inside and beat another defender before lashing it in to the net. The supporters behind the goal went absolutely bananas celebrating. Was with my mate caught in the middle of the yoof celebrating which was an experience. every player was MOM tonight the work rate and will to win was incredible

 

No. He played more than 11 minutes of added time.

 

Thats our best result of the season isn’t it. Good team, Mansfield, but we attacked with Banks back in the side and could have had three first half. Unlucky to get Platt sent off but dug in well not only for the regular time, but 12 crazy added minutes.

Cook popped up, again, against one of his old clubs.

If only we could stop chucking away three points at home now…..but great effort tonight lads!

Highlights from last night. Platt second yellow wasn’t even a free kick and there’s less than a second between the refs whistle and him kicking the ball away. Could he have prevented it? Probably. But thats still very harsh in my view and 99 times out of 100, isn’t handed a yellow.

 

Has to be Songo'o mate. At the moment I don't have much faith in Odusina.

 

That refereeing performance was scandalous. To play 11 mins of added time to when there were no serious injuries is scandalous. In fact, so bad was the refereeing that the most enjoyable part of that game wasn’t the hour that we dominated, it was how we utterly took the piss in time wasting and the bitter commentary of the home hosts.

I liked what I saw of the lad Eisa when he came on very positive.

 

Tonight and the Salford game stand out as our 2 best performances of the season for me. And the common factor was that we played with intensity and a real work ethic out of possession. We earned the platform to play and we were a little more mixed in our play. There’s a lesson there that we need to take into our home games.

 

Great win tonight, despite two unbelievably soft yellow cards and a ridiculous period of added time.

Certainly made the trip worthwhile.
