our response is weak and pathetic from a PR team who are not worthy or a PR team that are defending the un defendable. My hatred is solely on watching 1 man destroy OUR team in my opinion and many others.

 

So your saying he turned us down on money alone? I would be interested in knowing how you come by this info?

 

I'd be just as cautious of this statement as the article itself.

Remember last summer when there was speculation and rumour that edin wanted to get rid of McCall? They released a statement then calling those rumours "unfounded speculation". Yet it was bang on the money and we all know that now.

 

I don't buy that the article isn't accurate. if candidates hadn't turned us down - we'd have appointed our new coach weeks ago.
its very well known Edin controls recruitment, and exerts influence on the playing side.

m8, some have their necks to far down the hole now. Its stuck. no saving and you are just branded a non supporter or a hater for being concerned in the way OUR club is going.

 

Do we know of any examples of clubs where the owner is the director of football and the club has a head coach? Take a club like Peterborough. Not unlike ourselves, although they've had more success over the last 10 or 15 years than us. MacAnthony runs the show, he owns the club. But then he has Barry Fry as director of football and now Steve Evans as manager. Both Fry and Evans are very opinionated and will demand their own input. We have Rahic running the show. if we get an inexperienced head coach everything falls on Rahic.

 

I can only speak for myself, but I would be devastated if our club continues in the downward trend. I most certainly won’t be revelling in it. I want to have to publicly apologise to the club because I lacked faith.

 

where have we got the idea that Grayson was making unreasonable demands?

we told him we wanted promotion, then told him what finance was available to achieve that.
he told us realistically thats not enough and I can't get you promotion with that, mid table yes, promotion probably not - we wouldn't alter the budget - grayson left. is that that unreasonable?

and whats more is he's walked out with no other job to go to. he'd sooner be unemployed than work for Bradford City and Edin Rahic.

 

I agree, I have spoken to him a few times and yes he's enthusiastic and says the right things and clearly wants to do well and get it right. However these stories keep coming from somewhere. I have always said I will give them this season to at least show they're getting things right and I still stand by that. The recruitment has started ok and improved on the last few years (including under PP) however this is just getting tiresome now and they just need to appoint someone.

I don't really understand GA's part in all this as he's clearly someone Edin trusts and listens to. Yes he's had his own battles of late however he seems to be well on the road and back doing what he loves.. As you say Edin just needs to realise he can't do it all and asking for help isn't a failure.

What I am concerned with is this new inexperienced coach will get the blame from above if things go sour. Last season we said things like put an arm around inferior replacements. We put the onus on the coach.

 

I find that sad do you seriously believe fans as myself get any pleasure in posting stuff we hear going on at our club, this is not something that has just evolved since Stuart got sacked manyhave been posting about the unrest since the closed season, fall outs with sponsors, accumilating in for want of a better word "players downing tools" now you can not believe it as you seem to be doing but IMO you cant dismiss whats gone on since basically the closed season as normal practise.
I do enjoy spending time on here and debating with like minded Bradford City fans so I dont think your comment "a small number of 'fans' with an internet connection and too much time on their hands" is really called for.

 

As McAnthony lives in California I doubt he has much input on a day to day basis, but probably speaks to Barry Fry on a daily basis and trusts him with his life to do what he would want

 

Very few, just as fans saying the next coach will be sucsessful are in a very small group.

 

However you look at it, and whoever you’re inclined to believe.... it’s clear that we’re now a farcical outfit.

 

I think you'll see I was refering to the morons on Twitter with that, not anyone on here.

Come on, you know I've always gone down the route of looking for the facts, I've said more than once now that I'm not a paid-up member of the edin fan club, I don't like a lot of his decisions but I also don't like all this rumour-mongering which is bringing nothing but more negativity.

We disagree on this, but I've agreed with you on other things before, I think always fairly. I'm waiting for the facts as and when they come, not nod-nod wink-wink talk that may or may not be true.

There is a simple way around it don't read the nagative posters.

 

Don't see why people are being so negative about that tweet. They've responded to a negative article by calling the author's bluff- either provide evidence the names mentioned have turned down the job or admit it is all speculation. If what was written is true, why would Edin risk them responding with proof?
