How have Shrewsbury managed to appoint Askey so quickly?

I was reliably informed yesterday by our experts on here than ALL management appointments cannot possibly be done in a time frame as quickly as two weeks, nevermind a couple of days

 

Well it seems it's taking longer than expected to convince someone to work under edin's plan. Who'd have thought it eh

 

I did not see this coming. it's a major surprise.

 

if we did get Heckingbottom, that would be a good appointment. I'd put him above the likes of McCann, and Hopkin and most of the other names mentioned (with the exception of Warburton) I'd have to give some credit to Edin for that, however I just can't see it happening.

 

Edin will be available to assist at all times...

 

Leeds United is a coveted job. You only have to do a few months work and you end up getting paid for a couple of years!

 

Our patience will pay off.

We don't know how long Askey was in contact with the Shrews but coming back to our own fiasco it would appear from the outside looking in,any Coach applications on the aledged high calibre list have turned us down and we are know awaiting the next batch to respond.
Dont think another couple of days will make any difference now, the whole exercise from a fans point of view as taken to long and breeds nothing but negativity.
I suppose we we all know best but at the end of the day we don't nagotiate or interview perspective candidate's.

 

Let's see how well that one works out for them before we start crediting them for moving quickly...

 

Or finding a coach who is wanting to coach rather than manage is harder than expected.

 

I'm not crediting them, I don't think Askey is a good appointment, said as much yesterday when he was linked with us.

 

especially when yesterday social went into meltdown at the thought of appointing Askey.

 

Like I said, I have far better things to do with my life than trawl things up to prove people wrong. Basically I'm not that sad or that desperate to be right all the time.

 

Tidsdale was interviewed on TV after the playoff final and said he'd been working out his notice with Exeter for the last two years so he's had two years to line up his next job.

 

Couple of years ? David O'Leary hasn't had to work in the ten years since they sacked him !!

You would have gone barmy if we had appointed Askey, so please don't give me all this joke of a club rubbish. You couldn't wait to attack Edin when Parker published a rumour that we could be after him. So surely now you must think Shrewsbury are a shambles, joke for appointing him.
