3 games in 5 days is ridiculous. The manager is well within his rights to rotate his squad.
Although, I imagine this thread is just you trying to start another argument.

but
You need to start a campaign to get new owners in at Anfield. John Henry is an absentee owner and clearly has no ambition! He's just another Stefan Rupp but with loooaaads more money and who wears a red shirtStorck likes this. -

Leicester had been seriously on the slide. West Ham had a realistic chance of overtaking them if they can win their last three games against Brighton, West Brom and Southampton.
But United have fielded a team full of kids, reserves and has-beens and virtually handed a top four place to Leicester on a plate.
I accept they had to rotate some of the squad, given their fixtures, but this was way over the top. It's totally unfair on West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton, who all had a shout at a top four place before today.Fordy117 likes this. -
Sounds like sour grapes to me. You desperately needed your biggest rivals to dig you out of a hole, and they didn't. You need to be more focused on why Liverpool have put up such a piss poor defence of their title. Klopps been handed his arse by David Moyes FFS!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Man City did literally the same thing when they played Chelsea at the weekend. 10 changes from the previous game, in a fixture that they could've clinched the title in. They lost. Did anyone moan about the integrity of the league on the basis of it 'gifting' 3 points to Chelsea, who're also competing for a top 4 spot? No. Because they'd earned the right to make those changes and protect their interests. And they didn't have the same need in terms of protecting players from injury on the basis of fixture congestion. Any team would have done the same last night. Any team. But other than sides who're bank rolled by entire states, no other team can make 10 changes without it having a detrimental effect. The blame lies with a League who imposed a fixture schedule of 3 games in 5 days immediately before a European final. What's a manager supposed to do in that scenario? Imagine the furore if few changes were made, players picked up injuries and they lose a final as a result. There'd be hell on, rightly so. I don't blame Solskjaer one bit. Just like I don't blame Pep one bit for keeping his cards covered and fielding a massively changed team at the weekend. As a manager you put your team and your interests front and centre of everything.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I thought what Pep did against Chelsea was also wrong.
I accept that rotation has to happen. But it's a question of degree. Fielding an excessively weakened team in a league fixture is unfair to other clubs, in my view.
We'll have to agree to differ.Fordy117 likes this. -
