I use to make potato pancakes. Learnt from my grandmother. Much better than hash browns. Fried bread is yummy but only if fried with dripping and bacon fat.

My SatNav directed me down Bierley Lane on onto the M606 at the Euroway junction (junction 2).
1 hour 50 minutes back which, whilst not great, is better than the last few return journeys.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

My reading of it is that you should be able to get onto the M62 at Chain Bar, so will probably go to Odsal and then down Low Moor and Oakenshaw , unless anyone else thinks Chain Bar will be shut.

From the National Highways website. It's just junction 3 to 2 Southbound that's closed tonight. It is part of carriageway repairs on the whole of the M606 but they just closing a part of it tonight, the full closure on the southbound is from Thursday for anyone that uses that at that time of night.

Canal Road is currently closed in front of Tesco heading out of town causing traffic to back up back across town

I didn’t see any info about this closure and got stuck on Rooley Lane. There was no signage that I saw on Wakefield Rd, Dudley Hill roundabout or Rooley Lane. Eventually managed to turn around and return to Wakefield via the A650.

However it looks like it will be occurring next Tuesday for the Forest Green match and it says the whole stretch @Wakefield Bantam may also need to factor it in.

It depends how quickly they close it off. Post home matches, I've managed to get through a few 8pm closures on the M62, because they often take a while to cone off the motorway. That said, I think I might head back via Manchester Road and Brighouse and join the M62 at junction 25 tomorrow night.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Can't see chain bar being shut for m62 access. Try Brighouse and getting on at Ainley Top. That's the way I go when travelling west.
