Who has suggested whats happened/happening will be forgotten. How can it be?

But if JR can help to somehow turn this oil tanker sized wreck around then lets embrace it and see if it helps.

IF, IF, IF - sorry but what is your point? We are not top of the league, we are nowhere near top of the league, we are disappearing faster than a toupee in a hurricane!! Reality is what we are dealing with Edwin

If my Auntie had bollocks she'd be my Uncle.

If we were flying high in the table then the club would be in good hands, Edin would have done things right, we'd have a strong squad, and we'd be happy, but that's not the case is it? He's made mistake after mistake and we find ourselves with a poor squad and cut adrift at the foot of the table.

Rhodes also made it clear that it is not a sign that the owners are looking to move on.

“In the last 20 years, the only people I can think of who have been prepared to put serious money into Bradford City as an investment are Gordon Gibb, Mark Lawn, Stefan and Edin.

“Where is everybody else? If this doesn’t go well, who do people think is going to come along and chuck in a load of money? We have to get it right.

“The first season everything was going well but unfortunately we didn’t go up. Then things have started to go the wrong way.

“But we saw on Saturday, top v bottom, there wasn’t a huge amount in it.

“You can make a few subtle changes which can turn you from a bottom team to one that’s doing better. That is the plan.

    Serious question.....
IF and a big IF, the owners prove to be sincere and pump money in for new players in January, how many people on here will give them a chance?
It feels like a modern day bloody reformation, Luther and Calvinism, burning torches and pitchforks!!
Since the car crash of pre-season we’ve got Hopkin, an apology from Edin, Rupp promising funds in January, now Julian back to steady the ship, but still most folk appear to be 100% on the Rahic & Rupp out band wagon.
They appear to be trying to turn the (self inflicted) disaster around, so why are my fellow supporters not willing to cut them any slack??
It’s not like football manager, they can’t hit te-start, if they are willing to learn from mistakes why are some folk so unwilling to give them a second chance, especially when we have no obvious benefactor willing or able to buy the club.

Edwin, all fans want in the main is a successful team or in our case an occasionallying successful one.

If we are flying high it's generally the result of good decisions by the owners and they take the plaudits.

When the reverse happens and we see an endless stream of utterly stupid decisions resulting in our current league position, we understandably hold the leadership to account.

    It's really that simple.

The owners have said lots of things that have not happened and even the complete opposite. So before I start to feel optimism again I will wait and see if any of this materialises. Julian is a good start, but if this is just window dressing for the fans and nothing changes we will be back to square one. As I have said Edin needs to sit next Julian, listen, learn, say nowt, reflect on what is going on ask questions away from meetings. That is what I am not sure about, Julian has been here before and got the bums rush 3 weeks into an agreed 6 month period.

I have read some rubbish on here mostly from Park, Banbrotam and SergioPinto (what happened to him?) but that has to be one of the most stupid comments ever.

Julian Rhodes seems to be a little more grounded than your flight of undue optimism (which you still have not amended taking into account all that has happened). I quote Julian, “David’s brief is let us finish 20th this season. That’s it and then you go from there". https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/17202963.bradford-city-former-chairman-back-to-help-revive-clubs-fortunes/

Makes sense to me, but hey ho, some still believe in............................?

If's, buts and maybe's. Reality check says we are the worst performing club out of the whole 92, with an owner who as the Director of Football and CO has taken the club from 5th in January, got rid of virtually the while squad, with a junior (Devine), two very long term injured Jones and Reeves, and NKP and Chicksen left. They had around 19,000 ST's, but now 'real' people in the ground have been around 10,000.
Hey we would have 24,000+ and queues on Mannigham Lane, if we were in the Premiership, but were not.
I go to the games, but I certainly do not enjoy the experience like I use to.

Perhaps Edin has finally realised the error of his ways but I doubt it. I would think he and Rupp will now be very worried indeed that their investment is going down the khazi. The only thing he can do now is leave things be, let Julian steady the ship and try and learn from how Julian goes about his business.

I very much have been in the give them a chance camp but personally I think it's all gone too far and I'm not sure how Edin ever reconciles with the fan base. His original philosophy seemed fantastic to me but the excecution has been poor and the stuff he said about being a feeder club for a prem team was ridiculous who wants to pay to watch be man city's youth b team????. I fully expect that this episode will end with Rhodes leaving for what ever reason along with Hopkin after we are relegated.

If he wanted a true Bradford city man why the hell didn't he ask Mason for help when he was here.

Loads of questionable comments on here tonight Disillusioned
How so many can believe that hiring JR as a consultant is the end of our problems is stunning
Edin has disregarded all useful, suggestions since day one and done things his way
What gives anyone the idea everything will now change
Its a PR stunt to halt the fast dwindling fan base had ML been given the consultancy things may have been different he is too strong a character for the management and wouldn't have wanted it anyway
Be surprised if JR remains in situ after we get relegated

I think it’s a clash of personalities between Rahic and the supporters.

If he was humble and well meaning but made those mistakes, you’d be willing to give him him a chance to turn it around. The fact that he’s the polar opposite leaves a bad taste in your mouth and his previous deceptions mean we can no longer trust him. You just know he’ll be smarting right now and waiting for the first opportunity to dispense with Julian. He obviously didn’t like how he ran the club last time (club within a club), and unless Julian has changed strategy, he won’t like it this time around. It might be easier to find a benefactor to buy Rahic out that both he and Rupp.

I do wonder if JR is actually a Consultant in the true sense of the word? To me if you are going to bring him in at this time it won't just be just to consult, where his ideas can be dismissed off hand. It wouldn't make much sense... I would think that the title has been used to soothe ER's ego but JR has been put in place to actually make change, not just recommend it.

I dare say many are waiting to see if it's a case of 'Too little - Too late' ?
IF JR can steady the ship, and City survive in Lge 1 ..... It will be seen as inspired.
However - Until there are truly visible signs (On and off the pitch), the protests will remain in place.
    Perhaps rightly so ? :)
