Maybe Rupp actually saw with his own eyes yesterday the shitshow we are rather than being told the kind of Shizzle that Sparks puts out in fans forums about sunlit uplands etc.

I won't be there Tuesday and I have passed on my Harrogate ticket to someone who wants to tick the ground off.

I'd hope Sparks was told to clear his desk yesterday and as you say someone in the media managed to get a good 15min with the man who holds the keys to the club.

I see on Facebook idiots saying Mansfield are top for a reason, but this isn't just about yesterday, we were dire on Tueaday, the previous home game v Doncaster was dire.

I can count on one hand the number of games where I have left the hame feeling we have given it all. Wycombe, MK Dons, for example. I said at the time I don't mind losing like we did at Wycombe if I feel the team and club have put it all out there. Recently that is far from the case.

The embarrassing sight of seeing a season ticket advert on the scoreboard every 5min whilst the score below it was forever rising is just how tone deaf this club is.

He didn’t fly straight out after the game, I had a brief chat with him in Tesco at half six last night. He has a house over here.
He was pleasant, frustrated and called out certain team selections, acknowledged it’s not good enough but I’m not sure he understood the gravity of the situation.
He suggested this is football and this time next week we might be celebrating two wins
His wife and I had to correct him when he said we remained 12th despite todays result.
I kept it short as, no matter what’s going on at the club, he was in a supermarket with his wife in his personal life so didn’t vent at him.
Edit: I did say it’s not good enough, needs to change and quickly, it’s been a year on year decline for 8 years running

Totally agree mate. My first game was in 1987.
The wife didn’t really like football when we met, but started coming to games in 2007 and has been attending ever since. Kids are 11, 14 and 17 and have been coming to games since they were toddlers.

We’re all just a bit fed up of it all to be honest. Personally speaking, I’d have barely missed a game in 30-odd years, and I don’t know if it’s just a sign of getting older or longer in the tooth, but I’ve got to the stage where City is much lower on my priority list in life than it ever has been. This of course is driven by the product we are served on the pitch.

We had a stable club before Rahic arrived on the scene, and whilst he has long since gone, his legacy unfortunately remains. The 2019 relegation was so unnecessary and so far no one has managed to turn the oil tanker that is Bradford City around. It’s just one big chore following City these days, and my family is clearly not alone.

The club is on its ar$e and changes are needed - a club strategy and stable foundations would be a start but it’s a long road ahead. The number of fans in the stands up for the long haul is dwindling fast.

I'm in the same boat. This was one of the games I thought would've been a great atmosphere between two sets of fans, with an end to end match thrown in. I won't be finishing early to go to the game to watch either. Its not just on yesterday's result, but I'm perplexed by the team selections and don't have confidence in GA making the right calls. He's actually weakened us in the last 2 home games.

If Rupp hasnt got a clue what mess we are in before yesterday then he seriously needs to fook off .............my god he let Rahic cause carnage that should have bern a real eye opener but to let another loon go down that same road is fooking embarrassing:(

As i said in another post, Who would not accept the position offered to Sparks at the age of 30, CEO of a football league club and the decent salary that will go with it.
All on the word of Julian Rhodes, who is part of the reason we own nothing.
Sparks is so far out of his depth, Yes he is at fault for lots of things, but should have been left in charge of the commercial side.

Notts County is the kind of higher profile game I would look forward to. A decent away following from a club with alot of history.

I just can't be arsed at all at the moment. The crowd would be embarrassing if they announced the actual people who turned up rather than a fantasy figure like they will do.

A family of 5 of us won’t be there on Tuesday- we’d all rather do something else. A crying shame after many years of giving support to the club.

Also a terrible time for a season ticket campaign to be kicked off and the rising of prices. Bet we have under 8k ST holders next year.

Judging by Alexander's team selection yesterday I don't think he does either.

His wife was very good at giving the w**ker motion to the lad who was shouting up to Rupp from the main stand.
The lad was sat just in front of us telling Rupp to spend some money or sell up.
Seems Mrs. Rupp didn't like that, hence the hand movements!
What are we told over the tannoy before games? "if you see or hear any foul and abusive language, or offensive actions.................."?
Perhaps it doesn't apply to the owner or his family? **so funny

If fans like yourself and your family aren't going then the hierarchy of this club have failed. You've always seemed fair in your appraisal of the club through your posts and not one to act over dramatically. Things have to change.

It's sad to read posts like this as families like you are the bread and butter the club needs. No one is asking you not to renew you are naturally coming to that conclusion and you are not alone. I feel that his club is slowly dying on its feet and Rupp now has to do something as doing nothing is not an option.

Why would Rupp be overly concerned? There were 16,496 paying fans at VP yesterday! That would be a good achievement according to Sparks and in line with previous 'official' attendances. What's the problem, Stefan?

The fact that at the kick-off, there were less than half that in the ground and before the final whistle, there were probably more Mansfield fans than City fans in VP is of little relevance according to Sparks! ;)

I'm only there on Tuesday as my lad is back from University and it's only his fifth game of the season. Otherwise I'd stay at home. Fact we are still in with a slim chance of the playoffs just shows how poor this division is.

He mentioned Cook (the obvious one) first - which to be fair anyone could question.

Parker gave McDonald POTM but I would have given that to Sam Walker despite him letting in 5-maybe the last one he could have done better with.

    My god, that is infuriating

I never leave early, but as soon as the 5th went in on Saturday, I walked. I sit next to the away fans, and I absolutely refused to give them the satisfaction of seeing my miserable despairing mug looking back at them. But the main reason I walked was because if I saw any of our park-esque fans applauding us off after shipping 5 goals in the manner we did, I wouldn't have been able to hold back

Just listening to the fans arguing with each other throughout the game and on the way out, shows we have hit rock bottom. I honestly cannot work out how some fans are STILL in denial

Got to 2:30 yesterday and i thought sod it im staying in the pub and i actually felt bad about it til 20 past 3 .............sick and tired of going down there sitting through 90 minutes of dross and trudging of into the night yet again peeed off :(
We have all seen bad times we have all seen poor teams but at least you could see the heart was there but this lot now they simply couldnt give a shit.

The FGR game should jave had a huge reaction yesterday but what did we get ?????
More pathetic uncaring shit ......... still cannot wait for the upcoming quotes saying " we must do better pt XXV "

7 points off the play offs with two games in hand should give any side at this level room for optimism except one and thats sadly that shower of shite down the road

Sparks says he's in constant dialogue with Rupp but I'm wondering after yesterday if Rupp thinks Sparks hasn't been telling the whole truth about the feeling of the supporters at Valley Parade?
