Why should it be down to City to sort this shit out when it should be in the hands of the home team stewarding and there police force :( anyone who went LAST knew this sort of stuff was bound to happen with the extra drinking time i mean if there is a recipe for this then why not kick it off at midday like we do for games with potential for bother...............

After reading this and then rereading my post above maybe the first stage of stopping this would be as you say to only allow season ticket holders to purchase away tickets, if nothing else it would go someway to seeing if these clowns are season ticket holders. If it stops it looks like it could be lads who want to tag along with their mates, I know as a club we are trying to drag ourselves into the 21st century with regards ticketing etc I seem to remember at one time in the past we had our faces on season tickets or is it the old grey matter playing up.

I brought this point up previously and as @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler said they were patting fans down early doors but I assume when away fans start turning up just before the start it becomes more difficult, if they did continue patting fans down they would be problems as they would be missing the kick off, I know it's up to fans not to leave it too late and if they do they know the consequence's it could get very unpleasant outside but then again there should be a police presence outside the ground.
Obviously City fans are hardly unique with regards this problem but it seems to be happening on a regular basis with our younger fans be that on the terracing or as we saw from recent videos under the stands where fans are trying to get a drink or spend a penny.
It would be interesting to know who's reasonability it is with regards who enters the stadium as you say they are Bradford City fans but how can the club be held responsible for incidents that happen away from Valley Parade, maybe @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler could tell us with regards the rules and regulations for traveling away fans ?.

Didn’t they let them off in Wetherspoons Doncaster last season. That was before the game.

Yes I believe they did where there were families eating and drinking, its obvious these people have no regard for anyone else but themselves so trying to persuade them not to do it is a lost cause.

The responsibility lay with the idiots that buy them and bring them to the game, end of.

On this occasion they were in the Bradford end. I won’t call them supporters because I don’t believe any right minded supporter would deliberately aim to harm the club. There’s enough cctv (particularly in a modern stadium) to identify the culprits. If it’s illegal then there'll be a knock at the door. Until firm action is taken we can expect to see more and more of this happening, particularly if we continue our good run and probable increase in away support.

It is criminal offence to throw these things. Therefore if they are identified they should be handed to the Police. This is regardless of any actions taken by the Club.

They only have limited search powers and even then the stewards aren't trained to do it properly. You could easily hide an object like that if you were insistent on getting one into the ground.

It requires Police either in uniform or their own clothes to mingle with the crowd. You would need to make the case out that the public were at high risk of being injured and that it was persistent. It is preventative crime process. However, times are hard and the Police have more work than they can cope with, so who knows preventative work might be having to take a back seat.

Have you see the video of this in post no.1 WW? The club and Police need to look at this in depth and catch the culprits.
Severe action now needs to be taken. Can't believe that no one near these scroats saw them and who they are.

Those letting off the flares are children. The police/club should take action against the sick adults who facilitate this behaviour. It happens at every big away game now.

I don't/can't get to away games these days, but surely the more abled fans who do go could keep a look out for anyone throwing these things and take some sort of action? Hell grab 'em and hand them over????

We have some utter morons for fans. The braindead ones who stand up all match in their seats aren’t much better.

One possible solution would be to make them only available for purchase to adult and seniors. That wouldn’t mean younger people couldn’t go, only that they would be linked to an adult, rather than a lot of unsupervised ‘youth’ going to the local away games. It would tie in some level of responsibility and hopefully restrained behaviour.

l can remember back to the actual tickets (with stubs), since then, No Season Ticket has had a photo recognition. I have gone to a few Premiership games, and they do not have an Identification Photograph.

It would be one brave individual who pointed the culprits out to either the stewards or police, I'm told some of these clowns are on drugs rather than alcohol, different times to when we frequented away grounds.
