I think like Trueman is showing Mccall up, Sparks is now showing Rhodes up a bit as he's done in about 4 weeks what Rhodes either couldn't or wouldn't do in 2 years.

 

Really? You're not interested how the club is run or the first team staff that they employ?

What a strange point of view from someone that presumably is interested in first team results.

 

This is good news.

For me, it doesn't make a difference who the manager is or what they want or even if they want to work with Lee or not.

This is a club appointment and so it should be. The manager needs to give a list of his requirements to Lee, and let him do his job.

 

So young Sparks has been in place just a few weeks and he has already put in place something the club has needed for ages. Great start

 

Let's hope this move is permanent - and let's hope he hits the ground running.

Looks like he's bounced around a lot lately, and hard to draw conclusions on that without knowing. But that's very definitely a recruitment specialist in a recruitment role, and so that's step one on the road to a professional backroom staff.

It's no good Turnbull making his position public knowledge and the club failing to do so.

Make the announcement already.

One of the parties is in the wrong about the legalities of the agreement.

If Sparks is dilly-dallying about an appointment based on the current form, he needs to grow a spine. What's it to be, hot shot? This is no time to be listening to conservatively minded advisors, the transfer window opens in a few days and we've already lost a few weeks.

If it isn’t a done deal he really shouldn’t be putting it out on social media that he works for City. If it is a done deal City need to announce it, either way it is amateurish

Looks like we're heading in the right direction, but only after being in a position where we couldn't go any further backwards. This appointment should have been made 12 months ago when McCall needed and was happy to have recruitment help. Instead we hang McCall out to dry somewhat on the recruitment front.

 

McCall had a recruiter in Greg Abbott but he kicked against that at the time. McCall hung himself out to dry by stubborn refusal to bring in free agents when injuries hit, poor tactics which were toothless attack and appalling defending.

 

The idea was put to the club 12 months ago and McCall was more than happy with it. Like anything we always react rather than proact. To be fair to Sparks this is the first time we actually look anything proactive.

 

No apology needed. Seems legit as a fair few seem to now know.

You can hardly expect him to make much in sales during his 15 year playing career. There are plenty of managers with a 21 year career (his time since retiring) who can't boast £12million in sales. I bet as a football club we haven't brought in that kind of figure since 1999.

Wouldn't you be happy with a recruitment man who brought us in £500k every year consistently ? It's probably more than the whole commercial department manage
