Lee Novak

I hope he does what Doyle did at swindon at score goals and prove those fans who laughed at him wrong but we are talking about the city team that have made bugger all in chances for the front men.

I just hope bowyer has a change of mind in our play that helps our forwards,can't see it though.

 

I've got to admit I'm not over excited about the Lee Novak signing: not a brilliant scoring record, only 6ft tall, too old, struggling Scunthorpe United don't want him etc. It's the last day of the window for goodness sake, he's the same age as Vaughan and Doyle and who's to say it won't work out for him and us.
Fans Forum and Twitter is all about different opinions, and I wonder what comments would have been coming out if these platforms for fan's opinion had been around when we signed a certain Robert Campbell.
After been kicked out of Huddersfield Town and Halifax Town he had a go to Australia to get a game. Halifax Town used to drag him out of The Shay public house before a game! Oh and Bobby was only 6ft tall as well.

 

It only started in 2003. Pretty much TV based then and newspapers. Only seems to have become a big thing in the last 10 years or so. More that TV (Sky) have made it into a show!

 

We all know why Doyle and I suppose Vaughan were not scoring goals for fun here and that's due to 3 main reasons:

1) Bowyer's negative style
2) our midfield not being creative and passing ways
3) our attackers having to drop into midfield or out wide instead of getting into the box.

Now, Donaldson isn't a scoring machine for us and I doubt Novak will be either.

We're not really solving the lack of goals with this signing! We need to concentrate on points 1 and 2 then work on 3.

It's not the worst signing.

 

It's starting a negative with me because of the style of football we are playing and you could have harry kane in our side and he would struggle.

 

We cant expect donaldson to play every game so we needed another target man and Novaks a decent L2 striker. Cant see him been on massive wages like doyle and vaughan so hopefully somebody else coming in aswell.

 

The point is Doyle and Vaughan only scored for fun at 1 other club before we signed them. They weren't known for "scoring for fun". Sunderland fans say Vaughan is the worst striker they've ever had. Doyle did decent for Chesterfield and Oldham and shit everywhere else.

As a back up to Donaldson it's an ok signing.

I think with the contract length he's a replacement for Donaldson

 

Maybe because like us they didn't play them right.

The problem is Bowyer not the players.
