Interesting question but probably irrelevant. Should relegation happen you can guarantee the dross who got us there will suddenly be busting a gut to get out of the club, as they are 'too good for league 2'

No on both counts. League 2 is even more about doing the ugly stuff well, being resilient. We’re crap at that.
And with every passing game, Hopkin looks the wrong man for the job. December was a freak.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Bantamsteve likes this. -

I do honestly think going down to league two would do us a world of good, most of the wage stealers will jump ship as they won't want to play league two football. I mean look at Bury and further back Portsmouth. Sometimes relegation is needed to get rid of all the shite.
That being said I would be gutted if we went back down to league two, I think with luck on our side we can scrape 20th as last game of season is Wimbledon at home.Bantamsteve likes this. -

Either way we are spending a couple of years in the lower divisions, As much as I dislike it I cannot see city being play off quality in the next 2 seasons. Issues with money and our best players being loanees.Get Rid Of It likes this. -
Management team will bring us back up given a full summer and full control of recruitment
-
Good question, always interesting for a fan to suffer relegation and the following season to be on a promotion push. But, with the current squad would you have faith in a return to league 1? We would lose the loan players and end up with dross. OK new recruitment, a good pre-season its a maybe?
We need to stay in this devisison and build on the best of what we have got. -
In what window have we been told a manager will bring us back up? We’ve been in this league for the last ten. You deluded idiot -
No !
But what remains would certainly leave our Football Laeague status under threat IMO.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

our transfer windows have been deplorable to say the least.
This last January was the one to break the club we heard the usual
"All our signings are lined up/ we know where we need to strengthen and have identified our targets"
heard this for many a year now but we never seem to fail to dissapoint
Why would this be any different next year in L2 unless fresh investment is found
Look forward to Morecambe on a wet Wednesday night Grimsby on a freezing cold December Saturday and Oldham in January is always a delight on the plus side some new grounds to visit Forest Green ,Salford, Harrogate Town etc
Just think what might be different if our returning "hero" would have stuck that chance away at Wembley but never mind am sure he will be heavily involved in our L2 consolidation efforts -
At least half aren't up to Conference League North standard
