Game 11 Update:

A good win for City proved to be a great week for a single player. That player not only predicted the result, the score but also the scorer. So well done to @How who not only picked up the maximum score of 6 this week but also picked up all the bonus points for a total haul of 11.

@bantamlad92 @Ricc @Allotment Bantam @Stoneski @Bigrod & @Batmanbantam all managed to get the result and score right so took home a good haul of 5 points

So how did that impact the leaderboard. @Bantam-in-Greece time at the top was a short one with @How rising 5 places to take over first place. @farsleybantam moved up 1 place to join @Nick_W_ in 3rd

Other big risers this round were @Pomfretbantam who moved up 16 places to joint 28th, @Batmanbantam moved up 15 places to joint 33rd, @Ricc & @Allotment Bantam moved up 14 places each to joint 18th, @Stoneski moved up 13 places to joint 42nd and @Toronto Bantam moved up 11 places to joint 56th.

The biggest losers this round were @Bantamsmike @Pineapple Salesman & @Rogered Tart who fell 7 places joint 45th

@Bigrod leads the moderator mini league on 17 points.The 5 points picked up this round saw a 7 place rise to 13th. @Frank Castle is 2nd after scoring zero points which moves him down 5 places in the overall table to joint 33rd. We already mentioned @Pineapple Salesman who fell 7 places to 45th but that leaves him 3rd in the mod league. @Dennis is still bringing up the rear having scored no points so far.

hmm. The total is correct for certain, just seems the combined column was missing one of the columns. strange thing is its not on the one after the Coventry match which I will up posting later and I didn't change anything apart from add the next column

 

It’s taking longer for the whole thing to process. The script crawls the thread, compiled the entries and puts them into a spreadsheet where all the working is done. The spreadsheet though is getting pretty large and slow to access so it’s slowing down the importing of the data and then opening it so I can double check. Next season (if not before) I’m going to have to look at splitting it into multiple spreadsheets I think and having a master one pull data from them all.

Anyway the leaderboard should be up to tomorrow as I’ve almost completed the checking of entries (and fixing a few the script had issues with)

 

Well, apparently I found the major reason why it was running slow. Seems it had been adding blank lines at the end of the table due to some of you not following submission instructions. I hadn't noticed it was doing this as it was below all the data I was looking at so the spreadsheet ended up with over 100,000 rows. So I could have fixed it without reworking the spreadsheet lol. Mind you if I hadn't of reworked them and then wondered why it was still being slow I wouldn't have noticed. Plus its easier to manage now.

Now I just need to work out what wrong submissions were causing it so I can code in protection against this so I don't have to keep manually removing rows

Game 24 Update

A loss with no City scorer is never the highest scoring round and this certainly wasn't an exception.

Well I say not high scoring, that is unless you are @Chad who managed to score a massive 7 points, sadly for him these were negative points for predicting a 7 nill City win which incurred him 7 penalty points. He is now dead last on -7. Well done @Chad as that's impressive.

No-one predicted the right score so the only point scored were by those who predicted a loss which was worth 2 points. The closest prediction was a 2-0 loss which just one of you predicted, that lucky person was @Steve1970 who picks up the full 5 bonus points

@Jay moves up 1 place to joint 56th

The 2 points @Telesto picked up moves him up 2 places to joint 51st

@Bratfud also moves up 2 places to joint 37th

Up 1 place is @Pineapple Salesman who is now 36th
