For effect it needs to be in the kop, Hiding it away in the corners was a really bad idea. Should be moved back

Any issues with the atmosphere aren’t down to where anyone is sat imo, it’s down to playing drab league 2 football against teams that bring a taxi full of fans. If we were going well in league 1 and playing the likes of Bolton and Sunderland I think we’d soon see a big change in atmosphere.

Bad idea to move them into NW corner.
As Rogered Tart says " Flat as a fart ".
Bet they move back to the kop next season.

I very rarely access this forum, and I certainly don't usually post. But having read this thread and some of the mis-information that is being publicised I feel that on behalf of the group I should clean things up and set the record straight.

Firstly, the decision to the NWC is NOTHING to do with the club. This was a full group decision, because this section works for us. The Kop was not practical, nor was it a suitable position for us as a group using flags etc. We had run our course in K Block, there was no longer participation, and we had no scope to grow. This is something we have pushed for years, but until RS came into position we fell on false promises and a lack of real drive from those at the top to facilitate this.

Throughout the past 18 months, we have had more communication, support and direction from the club than ever before. This is a huge positive for our group.

Secondly, we are only 3 games into the move. How people can try make their mind up that it 'doesn't work' when one of the games was a drab 1-1 draw against 10 men, and the other two it proved to be extremely loud in there, with a well executed tifo that the lads gave up a lot of time and effort to do, is quite frankly strange.

Thirdly, we are yet to actually have a matchday with our full group in position. Today may actually be the first time that at least 90% of our group is in the NWC, because due to holidays/festivals/funerals/other commitments we have been missing a lot of people through the first 3 home games, which has definitely had an impact on the noise we've produced. For example, against Walsall both drummers were missing. You could notice it.

Lastly, if you want to put bets on us moving back please feel free. But it isn't happening any time soon.

The only way this will improve is by receiving the support of the wider fanbase, welcoming more fans into the section and by the other stands continuing to play their part in joining in and generating atmosphere. Against Walsall, even the staple chants (Take Me Home, JCGE) were not being sung by the Kop, which is the first time I personally have seen this. They will at least usually clap along. That day we got nothing back. We are not the sole 'atmosphere' section, and whether we are present in the Kop or NWC we require mass participation to ensure the VP atmosphere is what it should be.

As a group we are always open to feedback and welcome any discussion with the wider fanbase. If you have any other thoughts or questions- please contact us directly rather than coming through a forum where mis-information and rumours will be spread.

Let's get back to winning ways today, with everyone in good voice.

    NWK.

I think the noise section is better where it is.

There was no problem with noise against Stevenage, but I have to agree I thought they made more noise when at the back of the Kop with the noise cascading out and down from the back of the upper Kop.

The north west corner has a chance to grow into what the supporters organizing it hope it will be.
It brings the kop and the west stand together in that atmosphere can be heard around the ground rather than just at the back of the kop.
It also creates more of a visual experience because of the way the seating is and makes it easier to organize displays that look better.
With quick access to the kiosks and toilets compared to hiking down from the back of the kop makes it more appealing straight away.
I've had season tickets in every stand in the ground over the last 35 years.
The NWC is by far the best view in the ground, with the best access to amenities.
I would never change now and i can't see the the so called atmosphere section ever moving back.

There are some chants you wouldn't want your kids to know the words to.

They aren't hiding away. They have great acoustics in that stand and it echos out onto the pitch. They are lower down too rather than right at the back.

No am in Sunwin stand so not only hard to see but the sound seems much less, Visually it looked both stunning and intimidating when players came out or scoring in the kop

Kinda agree with this, it doesn't really work in the corner. It was as flat as a fart in VP against Walsall despite 15,000 being in the ground.

Flatulence is probably an underestimate. Think Esholt on a bad bad day. I eat too many chillis.
