    Cheers @Sergio Pinto III@Sergio Pinto III this us really useful. From the original list (L1 players), the only ones that I would be very happy with would be;

    Ben Williams
    Greg Leigh
    Ian Henderson and
    Erhun Oztumer

If we could snap those 4 up, I’d be more than happy that we could build a competitive squad next season.

Williams would come in to challenge Doyle and not replace him.

Leigh would come in to challenge Chicksen, following the retirement of Warnock

Henderson would replace Poleon, allowing Brunkner to focus on his development in the u23s as he was originally signed for

Oztumer would replace Taylor and compete with our attacking midfielders or even to play behind a lone striker

There are a fair few others that I wouldn’t be disappointed with. However, I can’t say I’ve seen the majority of them play regularly enough to be able to rate them or not. For example, @Bronco@Bronco has mentioned Delfouneso but I can’t say I’ve seen enough of him to be excited/disappointed about signing him. Yes, he’s played well against us once or twice, but is he consistent?

Couldn’t see any in the L2 list that I’d hope were on Greg’s list.

Good list of players there. I would take:

    Lyle Taylor
    Kelvin Mellor
    Jay Spearing
    Kyle Vassell
    Greg Leigh
    Ryan Taylor
    Ian Henderson
    Erhun Oztumer

Mellor and R Taylor would make sense as we chased both in January. Vassel is definately one worth looking at as well. Greg Leigh makes perfect sense too. Oztumer just too good for us I feel - Championship bound.

A couple of the Oxford boys - Nelson (CB) and Hall (RW) worth looking at too but both have had bad injuries this term and missed a lot of time. Cairns (GK) and Eastham (CB) at Fleetwood are two more I would consider.

I see Kristian Dennis and Matt Godden are out of contract too.

I would've had Nelson and Hall too but they've just signed new 1 year deals. The Fleetwood boys are a good shout. Cairns had a great game at VP this season

Adelukan at Scunny is very good player also but will probably have lots of better options unfortunately.

What about bringing GSK into the first team squad instead of looking for someone to challenge Doyle?

Cullen at Blackpool for something different up top?
Sinclair at Bristol? If he’s the beardy guy, seems to pop-up everywhere on the pitch.
Thompson at Cov - was he mentioned last year?

I’m sure I constantly read the same about Bradley Dack, but when he finally left Gills, he joined a L1 side. And he was only 23.

Oztumer is a good player but he turns 27 this month, so I’m not too sure he’d go straight to a Championship side.

Great list, cheers @Sergio Pinto III@Sergio Pinto III. But it does neglect offers for these players from their current clubs - I believe both Nelson and Hall have been offered deals by Oxford. They may turn those deals down of course.

As others have said, some familiar targets in there like Dennis, Mellor & Taylor. I hadn't realised they were out of contract so suspect we might be back in for them. Paying money for Dennis in January seemed like a bit of a panic buy but I'd definitely give him a chance on a free.

If we are considering an extension of Doyle's deal then one of the two Fleetwood keepers to compete would be ideal. Chris Neal seems to stick out for good performances against us for his previous clubs (seem to recall a couple of clangers as well though?) and Cairns has played well against us as well (possibly worked with Grayson before?).

If Hall is now fit, we should snap him up

Just seen John Welsh is leaving Preston at the end of the season.
Think he’s exactly what we need in the squad. Similar to when Gary Jones signed. 34 years old, captain and Grayson knows him well.

He's only played 11 games over the last two seasons, has he been injured and he's also 34, 35 in January.

Without trying to sound all clued up on all youth players in the country but I watch a lot of the Liverpool youth set up and Yan Dhanda looks a very bright prospect. Very talented very driven and is going to be touring the pre season with the first team. Attacking midfielder and plays well as a 10

Only ones I wouldn't mind us signing. Graham, Mellor and Oztumer the top three on the list in my opinion, think we should really push for Oztumer but probably be priced out.

i liked leigh when he was here but just not good enough defensively for me, having said that if grayson stays i imagine would be a good coach for him to develop that side of his game under.

With season tickets kept low in price,a good move would be to sign a star player from over the years of league one .

Maybe someone like Erhun Oztumer ?

Oztumer, yes, definitely would be happy with that.

Think we need a target man, two centre backs, a left back and a midfielder - two wingers also.

I'm not particularly clued up, but there look to be plenty of decent options there.

I already see very little reason to spend any transfer fees, but if we do, I expect real quality - unlike Poleon, McCartan, et al.
