if you’re expecting the squad to be finalised in 3 days you’re going to be extremely disappointed. players are still on holiday and will be for the next few weeks. pre-season doesn’t even start until the last week of june and even then there’ll be plenty of trialists in and out of the door until we have to submit our final squad list to the EFL in august. then there’s the period for loan players.

 

Its not me expecting things done quick I'm fully expecting us arsin about on deadline day. It's Bowyer who claimed he had targets and agents all lined up ..70 players had literally been hammering his office door in ??He's had three months head start on everyone else so surely delivering at least a couple of key signings on 1st June is not asking much ? It's very reasonable question really?

How do you know there won't be a couple of signings unveiled at the start of June? Who, with any authority on the matter has said there won't be? How about you wait and see before blowing a gasket?

70 players doesn’t mean they are any good.. it depends if it’s reasonable, there are many factors that go in to signing players - personally i wouldn’t want the club to rush it knowing there are plenty of options out there. the better players tend to have plenty of options. they won’t rush in to signing for anyone.

New recruits cannot sign until 1st July, as existing contracts run until 30th June, so whats the rush to annoince before mid June?

Are you suggesting managers only start targeting players they want at the start of the closed season, really?.
Bowyer will have his targets identified I'm sure, but so would any other manager worth his salt.
