You're right about our colours being very distinctive and to me, it's the claret and amber that is our identity far more than the stripes are. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased to see them back this season, but equally I don't mind when the design is different, as long as it features the claret and amber.

 

Since we're not in European competitions, and aren't likely to be any time soon, I don't see why we have to have a plain back on our shirt. Stripes, with a plain rectangular panel for the player's name, would be fine. But I suspect we're at the mercy of the shirt manufacturers who don't want to complicate their standard designs.

 

Been down today to buy my Grandson his first kit. It does look smart, and glad they have gone with the black shorts and socks, so much better than claret.

Looks like they were doing brisk business too

After this season's awful kit, I was fully expecting the reverse of amber for claret next season.
Sincerely hope not.
Stripes it HAS to be.

 

I figured it might have been another kit manufacturer as they were selling the kits dirt cheap! Regardless I do like avec apart from last season, kits have been on point.

That being said wouldnt mind a classic stripe kit this season!

Not to drag this on forever but I think it’s a pretty good idea, it won’t effect the sales of the home shirt, I doubt anyone is saying “I’ll wait for Christmas, just to see check I don’t like the 3rd kit more”.
Then when Christmas does come around, its an easy present for people to pick up (stocking filler type thing?), it’s a bit of excitement for fans on social media and if results are going well and there is a bit of a feel good factor at the club I think a fair few people will be happy to spend their money in the club shop again.

For me football shirts aren’t really like any other type of fashion, I wear our shirts as a matter of pride, it’s not as if the L**ds shirt was nicer I’d be off down the road to pick one of them up. I don’t really need it advertised to me on a catwalk the season before to make me want to buy it!

 

Third kit can be more a casual design and worn on holiday or walking round L●●●s.

A tribute to avoiding relegation? What a load of nonsense. However, if by any chance its true, how embarrasing

 

St Helens do the same thing also, it's stiched gold numbers just above the badge, looks good in my opinion and gives the shirt a different meaning to the player.

 

Are you actually upset about it? There's so many players and numbers I think he's done a great job in pulling all the information together, so well done you have for having a few extra rows on your spreadsheet!

Bring back the barber pole kit! Hands down the smartest we've had for years and I say that as a firm stripes/black shorts traditionalist.

 

The fag packet kit was truly horrendous. It's almost annoying that some of our showpiece games were played in it.
