    Agree Rod. The front looks unfinished. It should have the black edging right around the collar. And stripes on the back. Otherwise it’s ok. I like the black shorts but would prefer claret and Amber socks.
    Overall, it’s ok, but not a classic. A damn site better than last year’s though.

    My understanding is that the requirements of the name/number/advertising means that the back of the shirt has to be plain. Agree with you that l would prefer it to be stripes but l guess we are where we are. :thumbup:

    My understanding is there is a UEFA ruling that any club competing in Europe has to have a shirt with a plain back, hence why premier league clubs have had this rule enforced on them, but at the moment, it is only a guideline for lower league clubs, not compulsory.

    Guideline yes - there have been clubs in recent seasons that have had striped kits and striped on the back too. Think possibly West Brom? And another.

    Since we're not in European competitions, and aren't likely to be any time soon, I don't see why we have to have a plain back on our shirt. Stripes, with a plain rectangular panel for the player's name, would be fine. But I suspect we're at the mercy of the shirt manufacturers who don't want to complicate their standard designs.

    Has anyone bought it yet? It looks a bit bright online, how are the colours in real life? How’s the sizing?
    Does it feel quality? Will the sponsor fade etc?
    Might order one if they do international delivery.

    We had in times past used to have a black patch sewn on the back of the shirt with white numbers so they stood out in the stripes

    Been down today to buy my Grandson his first kit. It does look smart, and glad they have gone with the black shorts and socks, so much better than claret.

    Looks like they were doing brisk business too
