No self respecting thief would nick a French car. -
The costs for taking cash to and from establishments three times a week by well known cash transportation companies was absurdly, absurdly, huge. Times have moved on since I retired , but based on the latter comment I bet all retail would wish for cashless?
I may be wrong about the transaction charges (age!) , but hey it’s not a deal breaker and the principle still applies to the interesting ( for me ) debate. -
Card charges at an industry average of 1.5% £75 plus say 2 mobile terminals @ £15 Total charges £90
Banking on £5000 a week
Paying in charge at 35p per £100 £17.50 Withdrawal fee on £1000 change £3.50 Total cash charge £21
Change needs is very limited because most users keep a float and do not pay coins or £5 notes in and keep it for change -
