you can be glad he’s gone, but you don’t have to be bitter towards the fella.. he isn’t the first and won’t be the last player to sign for the club on a decent salary and not live up to expectations.

try and be the bigger person. he signed a contract he was offered, he didn’t hold a gun to the clubs head. it didn’t work out and both parties have moved on.

he didn’t force the club to offer him the terms they did. as far as i’m aware those negotiations involved two parties and he signed the deal he was offered. it didn’t work out. it won’t be the last time it happens.

stop playing to the crowd and posting statements just for likes.

Not Faithful’s biggest fan, but where has he been bitter? He’s said he has no animosity but equally isn’t going to wish him well.

And why the hell would he?

It’s not like a player who it just didn’t work out for. He was a lazy arsed git and I’m glad he’s gone. There....... that’s animosity

    I'm not bitter.

No one forced us to sign him or give him his contract other than Rahic.

But he was crap and gutless. He gave us nothing. The best thing he did was leave.

It's hard to harbour good will for many of last season's shower. But lifes to short to wish any of them ill either. Its done. Now hes gone, he wont be thought of again.

    Onwards and upwards.

@brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams misses the overall point, Bronco. ;)

I don't give a fig if Wright was on £100 pw or £10,000 per week.
The fact remains the lad failed to put the required effort in to be paid a wage, irrespective of the paid rate.

I liked Josh to be fair...he signed up because some dopey idiot offered him ££s he probably had to pinch his self before pinching his wage ? But despite all the dogs abuse he got and being shut out by Hopkin he remained dignified through a complete write off of a year. I think he deserved his wage for putting up with a year in this hell hole ! Good luck to him at Orient where he will likely be top three when he returns to face us. Josh Wright was plain wrong but it wasnt his fault it was Rahic and Abbott playing Champ Manager from Abbotts sick bed that was to blame !

I'm sure there was a very good reason Hopkin never found a starting place for Wright, I doubt with his ability Hopkin would leave him out of the squad when as a team we were hardly pulling up trees, maybe he knew something us fans didn't.

Quite so Brisbane. Now Josh has gone this doesn't matter anymore, so.
About a month from the end of the season I saw Abbo in Wetherby as I have from time to time, he was in at Mansfield then. Amongst his understandable angst in a certain direction he was big enough to admit it was him and him alone responsible for signing Josh, no other influences. He also admitted it was one of the biggest mistakes he has made but had no reason why it had not worked out.
Very strange because every club I went to who had Josh as a player spoke well of him. There was one exception in PP who like Abbo lives near me and said he thought from a personality point of view it was a terrible signing.
GB, like PP seems big on that sort of thing so hopefully no repeat.

I dislike the bugger because he never broke sweat. I won his shirt off his back and it stunk of Brut!
The simple fact is he had the ability but not the desire. If he'd shown the same effort as The Bunker put in he'd have signed for a Championship club this week. Not a fellow League 2 team.

So it was Abbott that made the decision to bring in Wright? Might end this perpetual myth that Abbott had little say in transfer dealings with Rahic around. How many other transfer mistakes did Abbott make i wonder?

No doubt when Orient play at Valley Parade he will cover more yards on the pitch than he ever did wearing a City shirt.
My lasting memory of him will be the player without a hair out of place and arms waving like a windmill.

Wasn't there a rumour doing the rounds a little while back that Rahic had signed Wright purely on the basis of his large following on social media? I can't remember where it came from but have a vague recollection it was from someone quite reliable?

I read that but laughed it off as another daft rumour. Wetherby Whaler has said Abbott has admitted it was him alone that sanctioned the signing. Way to go Greg.
