When we signed Josh I wondered why he was signing for a team up north with his lifestyle and southern roots. Maybe no southerners wanted him,anyway good luck Josh hope it works out for us all.

 

I've no malice with the lad, it didn't work for him for various reasons although that could be said for a number of players. The move to Orient is the best decision for all concerned. Wrong player at the wrong time.

 

Completely agree. No getting away from the fact he was useless for us but the situation he signed into was somewhat unique, i've certainly never seen such a shambles of an organisation at Valley Parade. In different circumstances he might have actually done something rather than making it look like he was doing something.

you can be glad he’s gone, but you don’t have to be bitter towards the fella.. he isn’t the first and won’t be the last player to sign for the club on a decent salary and not live up to expectations.

try and be the bigger person. he signed a contract he was offered, he didn’t hold a gun to the clubs head. it didn’t work out and both parties have moved on.

 

I liked Josh to be fair...he signed up because some dopey idiot offered him ££s he probably had to pinch his self before pinching his wage ? But despite all the dogs abuse he got and being shut out by Hopkin he remained dignified through a complete write off of a year. I think he deserved his wage for putting up with a year in this hell hole ! Good luck to him at Orient where he will likely be top three when he returns to face us. Josh Wright was plain wrong but it wasnt his fault it was Rahic and Abbott playing Champ Manager from Abbotts sick bed that was to blame !

The simple fact is he had the ability but not the desire. If he'd shown the same effort as The Bunker put in he'd have signed for a Championship club this week. Not a fellow League 2 team.

Our recovery fell apart when Brunker left, having met the lad he was really quite charming. Maybe Hopkin removed some key characters that just deflated the team spirit in january? not that it matters but just a theory.

 

i think the crap ton of money rupps most likely thrown down the pan at this point will have him feeling pretty accountable for it all.

How anyone can defend wright is shocking, watched our supposed club captain put in one of the most insipid and pathetic displays from a bradford city player ever against oldham where the 15 year old kid beside him showed more character, determination and even ability. I think over the season I saw him maybe do a tackle once in pre season and that was pretty much it. I also hted how many times he used the words part and parcel in his first interview. If this was a 100 percent abbott signing im 100 percent glad he's nowt to do with our recruitment now.

Wonder if he'll go to Leyton Orient and ponce around with a few nasty players around him and actually look half-decent? They sure shouldn't be expecting him to work hard, whatever their plans for him.

Yepp, reading in that other thread his dad evidently didnt watch him play at all last season as him in the first 11 wouldnt have changed anything and in fact would probably have gotten us relegated quicker. Slow, weak, timid and that was just his mentality. The only thing he could do was pass the ball reasonably well but never seemed to have the vision to make that ability count. In an ideal world, I'd love to see him back at VP with Orient, spraying a couple of aesthetically pleasing but ultimately ineffectual crossfield passes and then getting absolutely booted up in the air by one of our now freakishly tall defensive line

 

I think that is very clear, greg simply saw the wrong one. It reminds me of the time we went scouting a team from molde in norway, whose two strikers had scored a tonne of goals, when kamara was in charge. We signed sundgot and a month later man utd signed soljskaer
