    I'd only consider him as a player coach with Lionel Messi as player manager - he's out of contract so there's no reason for Rupp not to sign him up.

    Rangers want to hang on to him as a player, with poss future coaching role. Sunderland are interested in signing him with similar. There is no way we could afford the money to take him on. Also it takes us back to that old conundrum - does a great player become a great coach? And PARTICULARLY in Lgs 1 and 2. Defoe has never played at this level. How would he instantly understand it, the different quality of the players? Not for me.

    Thought it was Steve Cook but I could just be making it up.

    I do know though that Rob Earnshaw is the only player to score a hat trick in all 4 divisions. Had it in a quiz a while back (and obviously didn't get it).

    Don’t believe anything to the contrary - the HP sauce says Christophe Galtier is coming to VP. You have to aim high in this game. And he looks moody enough for the VP hotseat.
