    Appaling window.

Came into January needing a RB, RW to replace Gilliead and goalscoring ST as an absolute minimum.

    Did we get that? No.

Hendrie - cheap, lazy signing to appease the disgruntled because he "loves the club" or some crap. Hasn't played RB for Hartlepool and has only played CB in a back three. Not to mention they were happy to let him go.

Pereira - only player signed who looked like he could challenge Gilliead but as is typical with this club, zero due diligence occurred and he's been a sick note since he joined. If only he had form for this that we could've found out...oh wait.

Elliot & Delfounso - two non scoring journeymen on cheap loan deals akin to the panic buys of Guthrie and Robinson.

All this whilst we sell Canavan who, whilst he wasn't great, was still the second best CB at the club. We've failed to replace him so we'll now be playing a CM, LB, RB or Sunday league level CB next to Paudie for the next 5 months. Promotion? Jog on.

Walker and Bass look like the only two players who are upgrades on what we have, but they are arguably in positions that should've been the last to address.

Not to mention our customary Kieffer Moore/Billy Sharp desperate PR exercise in the form of Georgie Kelly.

The club has no aspirations of promotion. We've been lied to yet again and this window was yet another back of a fag packet, unprepared mess.

Adams out. Sparks out. Rupp out.

I think you should get off the fence and say what you really mean.

Within today's current squad with the several new additions, there's a team capable of getting us out of this division ( the right direction)
The issue is Adams, I'm as disgruntled as any other fan at the moment. and the rumblings grow by each abysmal performance.
I sensed the turning point was at Carlisle, things started to get a little toxic.
However, a couple of positive results, despite poor performances, tempered the ill-feeling
But, it can't detract from the fact a team needs a stream of fairly consistent displays to have a modicum of success.
I'm just holding back off Adams at the moment even though the football is dire, because we need to pull together to get out of this god-forsaken sh*t hole of a division.
However, once it looks like the play-offs are a pipedream ( and we're not far off that realisation), then I'll be as vocal as the most ardent disgruntled fan in wanting his dour soulless crap style of management out of here.
    It's bloody awful to watch.

Was glad to see Hendrie arrive yesterday. I don’t think he’s a world beater from what I remember during his time before but if he can be a 7/10 steady eddie every week then he’d be an improvement on the liabilities played to date. The standard was so low, a body was needed.

Happy that in Delfi we have a replacement for Angol, as we’ve looked at our best this season when Angol has played.

    happy we’ve upgraded the keeper.

didn’t think we needed more midfielders but we’ll see how they get on.

Good to know we have a direct option in Elliott now.

Surprised we let Canavan go without having a replacement lined up. I wonder if Adams is ready to trust Foulds, Staunton or will pigeon hole Songoo as a Vincelot CB-type skipper for rest of the season now.

my worry remains whether the players are behind Adams and will apply themselves in the second half of the season. We’re not creating chances like we did at the start of the season and need to raise our game again.

whether the catalyst for that is the new players, a tactical rethink or whatever, I’ve no idea. We’ve left it too late, but I’m not as downbeat as some on our Jan activity - it could have been worse - Kai Bruenker / Kurtis Guthrie etc

Foulds is an option at Centre Half, especially being left sided, but at 5ft 10 & 11 stone does he have the physique for a L2 CH ? Seems a bit Matthew Bates in that respect.
