I was against signing him at the time but in hindsight if we’d signed Stockton and then beaten Chesterfield to the lad from Borehamwood instead of signing Lavery and Robinson, then Rupp would have maybe been £300k worse off but he’d have got that back in walk up ticket sales because we’d be top three.

Instead like you say we had a terrible window, we can’t score and are a couple more bad results away from slipping in to relegation fight. But hey we have some good marketing, new seats and we have to listen to the excuses being trotted out on the 1st January.

 

Totally agree. It's what I said earlier - if they don't come up with the goods this window, more and more fans will feel they've been treated like mugs. Lets see how busy the window is for others, yet we still come up with the bs of it being difficult to sign players. The only reason its difficult, is because that numptie over in Germany won't back up his promises!

 

Scunthorpe have had 3 bids for striker Ryan Loft, one from Colchester, other 2 clubs not known at this stage.

I seem to remember us bring linked last summer, perhaps more to do with Turnbull at that time. I wonder if we are trying again though?

 

I think we will use about three of our 5 available loan slots this window. Let’s see what contacts Adams has he had one or two decent ones last season

 

To be fair, when has Rupp even spoken about the club let alone make promises ? I don't recall him promising anything. Twitterboy does all that and personally I don't trust a word he says.

 

Re: Luke Charman at Darlington, after today's game against Spennymoor, in which he again scored, their manager and our former striker Alun Armstrong made some interesting comments regarding him. I think if TCA poster was correct, then this may be in regards to us or others maybe being interested, as to whether we have made a bid or not who knows, but Darlo fans think he's off.

 

Previously mentioned Tav Campbell at Woking, he is on a 1 year deal but think his agent is working hard to capitalise on good first half of the season - whispers are Wrexham interested but also heard Tranmere could make a move. He's a bit of a gamble as not pulled up any trees before now
