It doesn't say in the FGR article that they didn't offer him a new contract just that he is leaving the club.

 

It has to be money donated to the club or injected via sale of shares rather than a loan for it be allowed to count towards the wages so in theory SR could donate £100m to the club and we could have wage budget of £50m if we wanted.

Is it not just like a normal director of a limited company loaning the business money?
The business accounts are separate to his own personal finances.

Club won’t pay tax on the loan amount but it just gets marked down in the directors loan account and will be written off or, if he wants, repaid at a future date?

He was released according to FGR for sure, I'm guessing they get some kind of development fee which is why we said we paid an undisclosed amount? Probably a few grand to settle it. Cant see them at all having a sell on though, as he wasn't sold.

 

Looking at the FGR forum, they haven't even discussed Young or any potential sell ons. Safe to say they aren't expecting one and are having a meltdown at the amount of players who are seemingly turning them down this winter.

 

Seems like we will be seeing Lee Gregory again this season, one of those players who in my head always seemed to score past us. He has chosen Mansfield over Wrexham and is expected to sign until the end of next season. Rumour on F365 was that Wrexham offered more money, but Gregory doesn't want to move his young family from their home in Sheff.

Anyone remember JK Gordon? Was linked to us lost of the summer to join on loan from Crystal Palace. He ended up joining Cambridge and failed to make a splash, they have ended his loan early. Striker who can play out wide too, played his best so far for Carlisle, playing off the target man in a 352.

Palace are due to loan him out again, I wonder if we've gone back in? Didn't look like he was ready for L1 with just 2 starts on his loan. Type of player likely to be a Young replacement if he leaves?

Exactly the point I’m making. Young IS effectively a new striker in our team. There’s nothing to say he’ll continue his Swindon form with us.

 

No guarantees. His injury is preventing him from playing for City which is a change from his ability to play at Swindon where he managed to play for them with his injury. Isn’t it normal for a player to return to his home club if injured?

 

Only if the home club has proper / first class treatment in house or specialist rehab facilities.
Oggie going back to Brentford a classic example. Otherwise they remain at the loaning club.
