Yep, bin off Ridehalgh and use Richards and Oduor for me. Gilliead another option if we have a fully fit Pattison to assume the CM role.

Walker, Pattison and Bobby is enough for me. Oduor will be an option too.

Chapman looks like he is finished. Could be wrong.

Pattison has got one of those injuries the specialists can’t fathom out. Don’t think we will see much of him this season. I think we need to jettison some of the excess and bring another midfielder in who plays to the style we have adoptec

Posted the same with regards Pattison after the Morecambe game it doesn't look good short term and the guy said it could be the end of Pattison's season unfortunately.

To lose two very good players who play in the same position in the same week is really bad luck. The only good luck is if we can find a replacement?

Couldn’t agree more (can’t believe I am saying that with you Park haha)

it’s so frustrating as look back at Pattison careers he’s clearly had his injury issues. Why oh why do we go there with players who are prone.

Would totally understand it if we had a fantastic medical team and training facilities but is bog standard as we all know and can’t help players who are just prone.

It’s counter productive having someone of his quality for 15 games max a season, we can’t get any consistency with them in the selection.

We don’t Learn our lessons I could name a player for last 4 seasons who had a bad injury record and come to us and it’s carried on.

We took the gamble on Stubbs and that paid off. It's worth taking a gamble on 1 or 2 player and if you get them right them you have a very good player, same when we took on Andrew Davies who was far better than league 2. In the last 2 seasons for Harrogate Pattison made 69 league starts so he's started 75% of the available league games for them.

To be fair Pattison has played nearly 80 games the past two seasons so it wasnt that big a gamble. Any player can pick up an injury, some are just unlucky.

We took a gamble on Halliday and that's worked well.

Shame we let East go as he is a box to box player who drives forward like Waiker and stays fitter than Pattison but we had to do right by him with a new club and opportunities but our loss could be there gain

And scored 18 goals over that time.
A number our current midfielders can only dream about.

Zeli Ishmael, Jamie Walker, Lee Angol, Liam Ridehalgh to name a few players who seem to miss very large chunks of a season over the last 3/ 4 years.

I get the gamble, but when they’re billed as your star signing and already have an injury prone player in that position (Walker) it’s not worth it for me and I’d looked elsewhere.

GA has said this morning that Pattison is out for a few months, seeing a specialist over it. Walker back by mid-Jan, so not the worst case for him.

Makes a strong addition to midfield essential in January.

Graham Alexander was the one that loaned Kemp to Swindon. Kemp also forced through the move to Swindon as he wasn't in Alexander's plans

    Yeah, Kemp's a no go.

I also think we'll sell Young if he comes back.

We can't play him and sell him, so it's one or the other.

For better or worse, Alexander is regarded as having a 'bigger is better' policy with players. It's supposedly one of the reasons why Kemp was loaned out. I suspect it's also one of the reasons why Pointon isn't getting much game time.

You are forgetting something though. GA never saw Kemp play for MKD . GA joined MKD at the end of May 2023, Kemp joined Swindon the second week of the following month after leaving Hartlepool where he had been on a season long loan . It was close season so no games took place . It won’t have been his decision I suspect.

Agree. By this time next week we'll know if he's being recalled or not and if he is we'll know what our plans are for him depending on whether he is in the 18 or not. If he's not then that all but confirms we're selling him.
