If he was to sign a new contract and then be loaned out, I could see that working, but to loan him out for the remainder of his current deal without the security of retaining his services will light the blue touch paper. He is down the pecking order but I can’t see Walker or Pattison not breaking down again between now and the end of the season.

 

The fact that he's our only attacking midfielder that isn't injury prone is another good reason to keep him, which to be honest I think that we will.

 

It’s utter madness to allow them to borrow money , which is clear to me they are doing, to fund the loan of a player when they are haemorrhaging cash daily. I bet it’s borrowed through one of Clownes shell companies and thus won’t directly come under their administration restrictions?

 

I dunno if he should. I don't think he's been this revelation some make out, but the other options have had zero consistency this season, you'd think we either go with youth or start a fresh and we seem to not want to commit to either.

So in theory if we loan Pointon out and trigger his extension, we are in the exact same situation in the summer as we are now, but he's had 6 months of mens football under his belt, rather than 60-90 minutes a month in cameos under GA if trends continue.

East, Osadebe, Oliver and Afoka is a decent start - its above and beyond my expectations. Walker and Pattison getting injured has obviously slowed down the process. I still see another couple going.

If you listen to the press conference last week on Radio Leeds which is still online, it was simply Simon Parker bringing up that some fans thought he wasn’t in charge of transfers because the last two signings had already been identified previously. He replied that he was happy with both Wright and Walker and that the job is too big for one man to take charge of transfers and manage the team. He seems more than happy with the arrangement and stressed he had the final say.

 

I still think Chapman has something to offer in the right system but I understand why others might feel it's best for him to move on.
