    Sorry but we need someone with pace who plays wide not another "plays in any position around the front" type player.

    If it was a case of replacing Wright's pace and only his pace, this would be as close as we could get.

    However if we want to replace Wight with an actual footballer who is going to score and create, then this would be truly terrible.

    I never said he merited a place in the starting 11. I said Wright leaving may open up the opportunity for him to get back into the match day squad.

    With the new system in mind, perhaps we'll replace Wright with a striker rather than a natural winger? For sure we need someone with pace though otherwise we might find we become predictable and easy to play against again.

    He has a good amount of championship experience for a 25 year old good set piece experience which we seem to be lacking

    Believe his record shows he has not scored many goals. We have enough players not contributing in that area. So is he the best replacement as Wright was scoring and providing assists. Mahoney may at league 2 level find it easier to find some scoring boots.

    Absolutely agree. The lad has been massive for us - great attitude, loved by team-mates and fans alike. He'll go far in the game and bloody well deserves to. Incidentally, I reckon another pull for him is that there are regular flights between Plymouth and Cork.
