Indeed. I like the 4231 system - its flexible and can be played offensively or defensively. And I think Novak suits the lone striker role well. But either way, we need another central striker and at least 1 more wide forward/winger.

 

He is out of contract at the end of the season, There has been interest to take him on loan from a few clubs but maybe we have offered to buy him, We have money to spend in this area and most players would take a 2 year deal over a loan,

 

I like the 4231 and wasn't that what Hopkin used on his great run before ditching it and getting battered at Barnsley ? It's very flexible and in possession very attacking with the benefit of the two wide being able to drop back and form a strong four out of possession. Beats the system Stuart used hands down.

With the Stevens signing we now have competition for the two wide places with Evans/ Stevens on the right and Clarke/ Pritchard on the left.
