In T&A played 45 min in short practice game earlier this week, not far off coming back to first team

 

Played Tuesday Afternoon against Blackpool, Match cut short due to the heavy rain and the need to protect the pitch for Saturday. City Win 3-0.

 

Like a pair of new shoes.

He's another ex-Peterborough lad, he'll be used to mediocre facilities.

Wow people are going crazy ,he’s been here 4 months already haven’t seen too much yet ,but will give him a full pre season to get fit and hopefully he will be able to do 90 mins. He’s got ability for this level ,so looking forward to see him next season

i liked Cooke a lot but this lad is another level up. What a signing this is!

 

His first few games for us was excellent. Looked a level above. His form did dip off over the next few months, but that came as no surprise considering the level everybody else was playing at. Performances have improved under Hughes slowly.

But with a full pre season ahead an here’s hoping a better team around him next season, I see no reason as to why Walker cant shine. Won’t be surprised if he gets 20/25 G+A next year. Has all the attributes associated with players at a higher level in his position. Good awareness with an without the ball, Good close control an can dribble with the ball, is not afraid to take shots from in or outside the box (Can’t remember the last time we had someone like that, Clarke perhaps?)

We need a solid defence behind him an a mobile striker ahead to play off Angol. Do that an we’re half way there to getting a promotion worthy side

I have to agree with every word . His timings when arriving in the box gets him the goals. I can easily see him contributing 10 over a season. One huge pointer that Cooke will go imho. He offers nothing in comparison.

 

I did too but compared to Walker, he’s poor and his late season showings. I think he knows/ knew the writing is on the wall.

 

Salford or Rochdale would be good destinations for him.

I doubt it's the last we've seen of the lad, and if he's in our division next season, he'll be desperate to score to prove Hughes wrong...

 

Definitely. On his day he has the ability to run games at this level - as he has for us in the past. Unlike the Carlisle rejects, he’s an ex won’t be looking forward to facing.

This cant be for real! It looks a good signing but you need to calm down. He hasnt set the world on alight while here but he is an upgrade on Cooke.
