They appointed a new CEO two weeks ago Broncs.

 

Not even down to the shortlist yet and last time I looked there were between 20/30 interested parties. Just read a travel piece on Wakey in a tabloid extolling the many attractions of the City and surrounds for weekend breaks, concluding with “..don’t discount Wakefield as the next City of Culture winner”.
I agree he could probably do a good job but think the bid likely to be well short of winning.

You seem to have plenty to say about Mason but offer little proof of your claims, please tell us all ?.

 

I lost all respect for Mason after a matter of heart. Eating pie of Edin's fork and trying to talk to talk when he KNEW that it was a massive disaster behind the scenes. Played a long with it all until it went tits up and then started to DM people saying that his hands were tied and that he'd spent months trying to talk Edin around. The man is all about self preservation and I dont want him anywhere near the club again.

 

Bunco missed this, needed someone to stand up to edin, more worrying we have another edin pacifier in the seat now

 

I suspect Edin was such a bully that no one dare stand up to him

 

Of course he knew the goings on at the club but as with all other employees working at Valley Parade Edin micro managed him, to the extent that his emails went through Silkie Edin wife, Edin was such a deceitful ### he conned Rupp completely.
Why do you think it took John Dewhirst and another fan to get meetings with Stefan before he acted bringing Julian back into the club and Edin had to answer to Julian who would pass it on to Stefan, Edin spun Rupp tails about the unrest at Bradford City being down to the fans frustrations and once again Rupp believed him, previously to the meetings Rupp would not entertain a bad word about Edin.
Of course his hands were tied working for an idiot who took no notice of any offer of help, I believe when he left (I believe James resigned) he was not allowed to talk about his time at Valley Parade under Rahic, but your wrong with regards the DMs him playing along until it went tits up, things were coming out from the club during the closed season (Stuarts second season) when Edin had asked Stuart to resign, fully backed by Rupp because Edin had filled him with crap and actually took part credit for getting us to Wembley, only an owner with no football knowledge or allegiance to his business would have fallen for that.
Without doubt Mason is an ambitious man, I think you can sleep well as I very much doubt he'll be returning to Valley Parade

edins rule was extended by people not standing up or worse abetting

 

I'm sure anyone who went against Rahic would soon find themselves out of a job, he said as much in the interview with dumb & dumber, it's was his way or the highway, "I want everyone pulling together" (even though others knew it was not working).
James knew he had no future at Valley Parade and left after many clashes with Rahic, you couldn't get through to the guy he was so self centred and egotistical he wouldn't take advice even when the person giving the advice had previous experience, the man was a fruit cake, and when anyone challenged him he called them out for being against him, knowing full well he'd get Rupp's backing.

 

James was as weak as piss and watched things for far too long fall apart.

 

For the reasons I posted go along with Edin or lose your job, he tried to change it from within but couldn't hence he left.
But the goings on behind the scenes started from day one when Parky told Edin what he could do with his job, he wasn't having anyone involved with the running of the football side.
It continued after Stuarts appointment, if you ever bump into Greg Abbott he'll tell you some of the stunts Rahic pulled, ironically Greg didn't resign when his good buddy McCall was sacked, but then again Greg had a family to feed and a mortgage to pay just as James Mason had.

 

I spoke to James pleasantly, he said nothing and scarpered like a rabbit in headlights, both myself and my 2 grown up son's thought it was very strange.

 

Add to the list JR who was only bothered about his wallet

abbott certainly didnt help either

 

James Mason is probably a nice bloke but when I hear him speak I just hear someone who sounds glib, insincere and self serving

I also suspect he drinks bottled Belgian lager and could be a vegan.

Other than that, he is a top bloke !
