Used to always see him on the roulette machines in the bookies around Eccleshill/Idle when he played for us and Sheff Utd. Used to spend a fortune on them by all accounts. Was also seen out on the p!ss quite a lot.

Of course he is entitled to do what he likes, but it does make one wonder whether his professional EFL career would have had more longevity and productivity to it had be took his profession a bit more seriously.

 

Hence why JH declined badly in his last couple of seasons with us and is probably the reason these debates even exist.

 

Saw him yesterday morning he was running near canal at Apperley Bridge.

Looked fitter than when he last played for us.

Yes a strange one I was of the same impression as yourself, and that the few interviews he did after the announcement more or less confirmed it, but as I've posted before whatever level you play at you don't want to think you'll never kick a football in anger again.

I don't think he has played many minutes so far-came on as a late sub the other day.

Just checked up on Hanson to see how he has been doing in Wimbledon’s pre-season games, but he hasn’t played in any of them as he’s out injured with a groin strain.

 

Not really. I'll simplify it. He was nowhere near as bad as many made out. I'm sure you will argue he was nowehere near as good as some made out but like with many things the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

 

Agreed but it's a big leap from "somewhere in the middle" to debating whether he's not only in the top 100 worst but possibly top 10.

No one, that I can recall, has suggested that and that's why I said your post was strange.
