Maybe if GA played him then he might do something for Bradford City.
He's got a superb first touch, and bags of confidence.
As soon as he gets his 20mins cameo, I look forward to watching him play.
He's going to go far in the game.

I think the nearest we would get to hear with regards the situation under Hughes would be through Simon Parker, I can't see the club allowing him to give his side of the situation in an official club video, the best way to answer any doubts about his ability during that period would be to start hitting the back of the net as he did for Swindon starting today, yes I do hope he's starting today, but after hearing Alexander pre-Sutton interview (which I thought was excellent) Kavanagh will start along side Cook.

Your correct but even under Alexander he's hardly started, bringing Kavanagh in suggest to me he's the one who'll partner Andy Cook.

I think because the previous decisions made by the people at the club were very poor and they didn't have enough confidence in themselves making what could have been another poor call, I applaud the club if they told prospective buyers his price was X and they wouldn't go below that figure, its not been done many times in my time watching Bradford City the club have stood by their word with regards what a player is worth.

Don't mind Smith, to be honest, and we wouldn't have got to a semi-final in the tinpot cup without him.

His issue has been Hughes playing only one up front (almost always Cook).

He hasn't done any worse for us than Jake Young, and Jake Young hasn't exactly done much since coming back from Swindon as a 'different player'.

His injury is criminal. Remember some saw it all unfolding throughout Dec. Now we pay the price of that wrecklessness.

I might have read your post wrong so apologies if so, but the initial "injury" was likely a ruse offered up by both club and player in the light of any possible deal to be had, the injury he has now is the result of a pretty poor challenge, nothing anyone could do about that

You do realise that Young could have just told Flynn to feck off! If a player is genuinely injured they should say so and refuse to play.

Yes he could, clearly he didn’t. We all know, where telling a manager to F Off the first time , gets a player. Once bitten, twice, goodbye career?

Agree. However, I believe that Young was subjected to emotional blackmail. He knew the club were struggling and up until that point he had a very good relationship with both manager and club, so will have felt the pull to play and Flynn was also trying to save his own job, so he played injured. A lesson for all clubs and footballers never play when injured. However, I am surprised that our own club didn’t intervene, band recalled an injured player. I am sure that would have been in the loan agreement.

I agree but Flynn wasn’t his manager and Swindon weren’t his club and they had no right to play him whilst injured for their gain, our loss.

Obviously us fans weren't aware of the situation, although talk was going around he was playing through an ankle injury, your correct the club should have been made aware of the situation.

I did David highlight what was transpiring

In reply to Swindon interloper to the forum.Posted 19th December in the Jake Young thread. I think he was badly tackled at Wimbledon on the 9/12/23

    “Better ask your gaffer then?

Watch this clip …from 3 mins . I watched the entire Wimbledon game last week, he was injured LAST WEEK , I saw the tackle , and SHOULD NOT have played Saturday . He hasn’t trained all week and wasn’t even fit. Why was he picked, perhaps you could explain that away?

We have had our share of a manager risking OUR players , it looks like yours doesn’t mind risking other clubs players knowing they are being returned?

You can kid some people but not everyone my friend.”

There is a Y/T vid of him admitting he played unfit.

I saw a tweet today that said if you take away the goals Young and Kemp scored for Swindon, they'd be on 19 points now. No wonder Flynn wanted to play him even when he wasn't fully fit.

Can agree in one sense, yes a very poor challenge resulted in the injury, the main issue is he was asked/ told/ pressured to play a further FOUR games after it, I believe at Barrow, Tranmere , Wrexham and FGR. Thats the unforgivable issue. We and the player still pay the price for that welfare negligence, just because Flynn was fighting for a job, which he subsequently lost anyway.
