I recall reading, several months ago, a separate source quoting circa £4K. Not surprised.

Fair play to the Lad - if he shows his worth in the second half of the season it’s good business

Half the season gone and he’s not managed 90 minutes yet
    Great business

"Our team trawls the internet for reliable sources on a daily basis to save you, our readers, the time! Spawned out of a University economics paper on the state of modern football wages, our founders were inspired to make the information they researched publically available and have maintained the database ever since. " To paraphrase 'Our team trawls the Internet for made up unsubstantiated sh*te, which is only of benefit to agents'.

wouldn’t surprise me. He’s the most technically gifted player in the squad

its a shame that he was injured for the first half of the season, an that he had to be a pillock an get sent off against Wimbledon

Not sure I believe it TBH. There will be Championship players not on that money (not many mind). 10% of the budget on one player ?

10% General. You're obviously a good military strategist but I think maybe your maths needs a bit of work. I would have thought about 2.5%

Are you suggesting our playing budget is £8,500,00 which is what £213,200 would be if it were 2.5%. I raised a whole army, marched them through The Wilderness, fed and watered them and licked Bobby Lee for less.

if true , what would his take home pay be ? about £2500 after tax and NI , good money compared to most, but hardly a kings ransom. Its just a shame he got injured first game. If he had played 20+ games and had 7 or 8 goals behind him, no one would bat an eyelid.
Its the greedy two hats in the premier league, who's salaries need regulating. How is the premier league wage bill double any other of the major european leagues.

Salary Sport is a load of rubbish and base their figures on Football Manager which are just guesses. They can't even be bothered to update the leagues and still have Bolton in league 2 despite being promoted 2 years ago.

Looking at the Scunthorpe wages they will be so far out with lots of them, Lavery will be closer to £400 than £1400 with them.

I'll take any report like this with a massive pinch of salt. However, we're obviously not attracting a player of his age and pedigree and getting him to relocate from Edinburgh to Bradford to play in L2 by offering peanuts so I do expect that he is probably our highest earner.

To be fair I would not Knock him for Wimbledon now i have had time to think. He wants to play and play hard chasing the game etc he is great player and given a good run will score 8-15 goals fingers crossed... Wright will be missed more because he had it all...at such a young age

Load of nonsense, the site they use just pulls random wages from Fifa and FM and puts them out at fact. Same site when we were in our first season in L2 thought James Vaughan was on 7K a week and Connor Wood, who hadn't played a professional game before signing for City was on 4K a week in L2. Utter nonsense.

Didn't Sparks say on that podcast he appears on from time to time this summer that we were working within a set pricing window for wages and no being held to demands anymore? Think he quoted £2K-£2.5K a week was our highest pay point?
