Blackburn away was always going to be well attended, simply for the pull of a ground we've not visited in a long time and the attraction of a decent ground with a fairly large crowd.
Swap that with Port Vale away in the same circumstances and on tv. I'd guess that the away following would be around half with the rest not bothering to travel and watching it at home instead.

That was changed under pressure from the biggest clubs who threatened to form a breakaway if they didn't get to keep receipts from their home games. Of course that just delayed the inevitable until 1992 and the Premier League.Bronco likes this. -

There may come a time, when you find it more difficult, to actually make the long journey to City, I doubt that your love for the club will stop at that time, so options for supporters need to be thought through.
It is great that you make that journey, my mere 60 mile round trip pales, when compared to that level of commitment.
Can I ask you a few questions?
- Have you watched City on i-player?
- Have you watched any away games on i-player?
- Would you honestly have gone to Exeter, Cheltenham or Newport?
- Did you watch any of those games on i-player?
- If you chose not to watch City on i-player, do you think that should be forced on other fans?
- Do you think City will have benefited financially from the i-follow income?
- Do you accept that ‘illegal’ streaming is available and by forcing i-follow ‘underground’, that will encourage some to break the law?
- If you were unable to travel due to health, finance, time, weather, family commitments, would you still like to follow City and support your club through i-Follow?

Even if we went on the basis of a 50/50 split of the £13,500, after the EFL had deducted 10%, then over a season that could be about £155,000 extra, which could pay the salary of a decent striker in League Two!Stafford Bantam likes this. -

The negative connotations are a little passé. As many eyes watching as many games as possible is what's best for football, no question about it.
It's also not going to put people off a trip if they're inclined to plan such things in anyway.
I'd also make home games available at a standard rate. Something like a season ticket for home attendance = £150, a season ticket for TV only = £150, a season ticket entitling holder to both = £200. Game by game, £10 to watch from home. Reckon the £50 premium season ticket would allay fears that fans would stop turning up. -

If every game is screened there is very little incentive to get off your backside and make the effort unless it's a big game.
There'll also be plenty of lads that will spend the money meeting mates and watching it in the boozer instead.
