I don't know but that rule only applies in the top division and as we have seen with red bull there are ways to circumvent it. I may only be imagining him saying that but it's there in the back of my head anyway, I guess his ideas would be heavily influenced by what he knows already but for whatever reason they can't implement them in Germany.

 

When Rahic gets us to the PL and then loses any sense of humility and risks the viability of the club by signing David Hopkin then and only then will I be up in arms.

 

What about if we get relegated and can’t even sell 5000 season tickets at £149, inevitably sending the club back into admin with a 10 point deduction and subsequent relegation to non league and probably extinction. Will you then be up in arms? It’s time to act now before any of the above happens.

Weren't you in that caturgory of fans thinking things would continue to improve when 2 new men took over the club.
One being extremly wealthy compared with our past owners, I'd have thought that would have been the natural thought process of most Bradford City fans at the time of the take over.

 

Rahic would have failed the competency assessment they probably have in Germany is my guess

 

I agree that the system can work -- just look at the way the major North American sports teams are run. The scale though is somewhat different, what with extensive minor-league systems for (e.g.) baseball and hockey organisations. That we do not have in our football. Still, you do have to hire suitable people to be your general managers / directors of football; bad / inexperienced ones do damage no matter what sport or country they're in. So like many good theories, the devil is, as you point out, in the details.

Not sure how long that's over. They're both obscenely wealthy though. I think their spending power is about equal, all told. They shop in the same stores, put it that way. City spend much more wisely though.

The thing that brings harmony is success. Do well and everything in the garden is rosy. In all my time supporting the Club I have never known a better atmosphere than the glory season everybody pulling in the same direction. Having huge pots of money helps lose a couple like United and everything is doom and gloom. Unlikely as it may seem at this moment wins at Blackpool and Fleetwood things would look very different

I recall seeing a report recently that showed the Manchester clubs of united and city spent roughly the same amount on transfers and wages. Not sure where Park has got those figures from but they don't replicate the ones i saw in the report.

 

The one thing you do notice with the highest paid players is the incredible work rate they put in to every game even when having a poor game the work rate never flags,
