The thought of having curries in the ground is fantastic at first, but, christ, it would be a disaster in the toilets afterwards in reality.

The toilets in the NW corner are a joke. When you crap in the bottom one you’ve that unusually high door - because they’ve fitted the hinges above the pipes in the corner and crammed it in. Upstairs there is the most repulsive smell in the bogs. Two tiny cubicles and often you are left playing game of toilet paper roulette.

Not sat in the Ciba stand for years but I hope to God they’ve replaced those horrible wooden rims they used to have in there!

We might moan about the food but it’s heaven compared to the hot dog I got in the main stand at the Bulls a few months ago. Dried up, blackened wiener. Terrible it was! Still charged full price.

Was at Bellend Road the other week (watching England in the rugby, not Leeds) too and got an awful chicken tikka wrap in the main stand there - hard, dried up bread. They called the wrap some silly name and when I asked what it was the lass on the tills had no idea and had to ask her mate. They only sold about four different things on the menu too!

Generally speaking food in sports grounds is awful. You get ripped off amd know the hygiene is suspect, but you get it as you are desperate and there’s no place to go unless you’ve planned ahead and brought stuff in with you. If you’ve been on the ale before the game, especially, you’ll grab anything from that kiosk, and if you take kids they just wanna go to break up watching the game which, let’s face it, has been awful this year most times!

You must have a remarkably efficient digestive system, if you could eat something at the match and then have to visit the toilet as a result of this! I think for most it is several hours before the process reaches a stage, that a visit to sit on the ‘throne’ is necessary!

As for kids then mine were interested in chocolate, which comes (at a price) wrapped in hygienic packaging.

I can manage a couple of hours without the need for any food or alcohol in a stadium and take my own coffee, as I am not prepared to queue for something which is sub standard, compared to what I can put in my own flask.

Within an hour and I’ll be on the khazi, lol.

When we had the cup runs under Parky we used to meet up before the night matches matches and have a Sheesh Mahal, so I’ve found out first hand curries before or during game, pints and football aren’t always the most fun to mix!!!

Can you imagine the smell of a few thousand curries being eaten inside a football ground? It makes me want to vomit just thinking about it.

At least the pies and Sausage rolls are pretty non offensive to your neighbour while stuffing them down your throat.

Funnily enough I have done the same ‘package’!;)
Curry - Beer - Football, never any issues until the following morning.
We even booked tables before the cup games as the place was heaving.

They were great nights! We did it for the Arsenal game to make an occasion of it and squeezed in a few pints in the Beehive before heading down to the game, fully expecting us to get wallopped and that would be that. But then when we won on pens we took it as an omen - well an excuse - to do the same again for the other matches!

Snap and also the Villa and Leeds games! Great atmosphere, good food and beer. Apparently you can get a 10% discount if you are a member of Camra at the Sheesh!

If it's anything to do with Sodexo, it's going to be bloody awful. They took over the catering on Army camps some time ago and standards absolutely plummeted. Prices rose and soldiers deserted the cookhouses in droves. I don't know if they still have the contract or not but when I visited my brother at Ashchurch a few years ago I couldn't believe just how bad it was. We used to moan about the Army Catering Corps when I was in but they really weren't all that bad.
