Let's hope it was not the guys who protested and that's not a pop, I couldn't make either the game or the protest so we'll done those who made the effort, I would hope Rupp being confronted by an average fan may have made the biggest impact.
As with the majority of football club owners they have little or no attachment like us fans, I know it often gets used and may sound daft to those who are not supporters of club's be they football, rugby, cricket or the Women's Institute it does involved many years of your life, great if your a fan of one of the more successful clubs but in most cases it's not that relevant as with yourself Andy dad took you down and you got hooked same with my grandson, you support your team through good and bad, so I'm hoping the guy who took time out to have a word with Rupp was the most influential.
We've seen a positive move by bringing David Sharpe in on the footballing side l'd think Ryan knew that's the side of the business he needed help but maybe wouldn't admit it.

It is hard to say we are price sensative though as I don't think the price rise has massively effected the sales this year. Yes they are still cheap but currently it is speculative to say we are sensative

Hi Dave, dad only took me when it suited him, after he did not get me a ticket for the Southampton FA cup game in 1976, when he wanted to go on the booze before the match and did not want a spotty teenager cramping his style. I got a job and paid for myself after that.
Can not believe its heading towards 50 years, much longer in your case.
Yes its in my blood and my lad has it worse than me, even though his 20 years of attending have basically been dreadful.
I attended the protest, but stood well back, once the swearing and racist chants came out. I really wanted it to be much more than it was. In reality it was lots of 20 somethings, who would not know what real hard times at this football club are.

Looking at various sets of financials that have been released we seem to have one of the best wage budgets in the leagues, so I don't think the budget is the issue. It is more how it has been spent

    That wouldn't make sense.

Why would the club increase costs just to lower income? 12,000 must have been the figure for break even, so they had to be targeting around 13,000 or it all made no sense.

Said it before. I think he's won the Euro Millions to get his money rather than accumulated it through business acumen

Possibly they believed increasing tickets prices this 10,000 would be an acceptable figure given we were told Rupp will dip into his own pocket to go for if this season.
Looking at the uptake they are better off than they planned for, aim a little lower and if the figure is suppased that 10,000 figure and the money Rupp promised may be reduced, I'm not saying it will but I believe it was a sensible approach.

If only i could win the euromillions.
Ground back into the clubs hands would be first on my list, then our own training facility's, Drummonds mill would be a decent site.

I don't buy that, but never mind.

I think if there was ever a 10k 'target' it must have been because they were forced to lower their expectations.

They consulted the fans then put the prices so must have been very confident 90 percent or more would renew and it would actually generate income.

Don't forget Rupp wasn't promising investment when they took that action.

Just for comparison, When Drummond Mill site was for sale after the fire it was advertised at about 7 acres. Carrington is over 100.

A football pitch is approx 1.5 acres 110x 70 yds , so we could get 4 on that, one could be all weather, and still have an acre spare ,how many do we need. The academy could play games there. We are definately not Man u, why do they need 100 acres , 1 for every player.

They probably have changing rooms, gyms, swimming pool, car park, canteen, medical facilities. Stuff like that.

    Maybe an indoor pitch

How many pitches do we have at Woodhouse grove , 3 ? Not always available, they deffo do not need a swimming pool.
I am sure they could accomodate our needs on a site like that. Close to the ground as well.
I walk past on my way to the games and have always thought it would be a good spot.
Get it floodlight and hire out the artificial pitch on an evening , sports asset for the local community, might get you some funding from the FA . Have they not just put money into something at Myra Shay.

Think if we won the euro millions we should build a new ground.

There must be some land around Bradford area where you could build a 22,000 capacity stadium with retail stuff and facilities.

Half funded by mortgage offset by retail income. Half by me and my winnings as a gift to the city and club.

I think we'd have to ground share with the Bulls too.

Well never know but as I suggesting an attainable 10,000 was more realistic than 13,000 given we only managed 15,000 I believe when most thought Hughes would improve various positions and we would possibly get promoted, so if the comment I heard was true I'd have thought 10,000 was a far more realistic figure.
Rupps offer was made after the Mansfield mauling, and tickets were on already on sale before that I wasn't saying that was part of the calculation but was a bonus after Rupps statement if the nation to fans.
PS, you don't have to buy into it I was just passing comment.

They have recently built a “sports village” on the old wyke manor school. With it being council owned, you’d think one of our non-bright sparks (pun intended) at the club would have tried using those pitches to train on

I remember a thread on here a few years ago playing hunt a viable site and it fizzled out due to lack of suggestions after a few pages without going to Odsal or omving and demolishing current occupents and their buildings
