    Well done one and all.
This time , it was probably the hardest time in many a year around renewal, but the uptake so far shows what a fantastic fan base we have.
If any supporters deserve a little success its us.
Lets hope we have a good end to this season, restructure the playing squad well and hopefully have a good season next time.
I for one am proud to be a City fan.

11k is fantastic and above what I expected overall, hopefully there will be a thousand more or two which is still a loss in numbers but not the disaster it could have been.

Yet again the hierarchy of the club getting support it doesn’t deserve, give the punters something to shout about for a change.

C'mon, the point Steve is making us that the club is seeing a significant reduction in its customer base. Potentially 20% if we do drop to 12,000 from 15,000.

That might mean the same revenue from season ticket sales, depending on the actual breakdown of who has purchased. Whatever, this is against a backdrop of inflation running at around 10% throughout 2023 and around 5% though 2024 so far. So, in real terms, the revenue is reduced. If the club had been managed effectively, I'm pretty certain we could have increased prices and retained our support at around 15k.

Whatever way to want to spin it, the support for the club, at least for now, is ebbing away. I'm sure that one of selling points for commercial revenue was the customer base, that's going to be that much harder over the next year.

I owe you a pint when I see you next, no married 4th May 1970 Grand National day and I didn't back the wining horse Gay Trip 15/1 but I backed the winner in our lass.
Here's a laugh Blackpool for our honeymoon it was bloody freezing, when we booked in at the guest house I pull my wallet out and a load of confetti came out, and the proprietor said with a smile on his face, no need for hot water bottles then **so funny**so funny.

To use a retail analogy, then a firm could have a decent supply chain, competitive prices, attractive looking shops/website……but the actual primary reason for their existence……the product is poor and unattractive.

Being a well run club, but having a dull product, in the long term is going to put customers off.

What City has is brand loyalty and the fact that no other competitor is……..Bradford City in the eyes of the consumer, is what gives the club the size of support it currently has.

Exactly. I am a chartered accountant and the idea that HMRC would check every football club's 'official' attendance for tax purposes is a fallacy. Gone are the days of quill pens and abacuses even in HMRC offices.

The principal reason clubs show their 'official' attendance is that it's a requirement of the EFL (and other football bodies) and it's done for marketing purposes. All of the major leagues in every country prefer to show their 'attendances' in the best possible light to attract sponsors, advertising agencies etc. As we know in England, it's the likes of media giants such as Sky who contribute most money to football. Better for football bodies to be able to say 2 million fans 'attend' our games rather than 1 million.

I personally don't agree with how it's done - I'd prefer bums on seats - but fully understand why leagues want it done that way to attract more money into their sport from the media giants etc

Behave, a half decent season this season wouldn't have seen a loss of ticket holders, nor would it have seen such discontent as we've seen this season. Fact that this fan base is still backing the club despite it failings at the top is down to the loyalty of the fan base and nothing more.

If it really is nearly 10,000 already then City fans are yet again delivering their part of the arrangement - up to the club now to get their arses into gear and bloody well deliver their part of the bargain!! No more mediocre

That's fair comment and shows exactly what Sparks should be doing, although we do have Davide Longo currently running that very well. The problem all along has been no one running the ship with a football acumen, hence no real strategy with on field matters other than hire and fire. Hopefully Sharpe might be the person to inject this missing ingredient, if so it proves where the problem was all along. And if it does i don't see any real reason to have Sparks here anymore.

    are we price sensitive?

after the performance on and off the field over past 12 months I would have expected a drop off of sales even without the price increase. Price has gone up as well so we should have seen a double drop but we haven’t so far

There are quite a few 'Ifs' there but my real gripe is with Ryan Sparks, he has constantly sanctioned the spu*nuking of the budget on utter dross.
I would love Rupp to keep his promise but, with the excellent season ticket sales at an increased price will he need to ?
Hopefully the appointment of David Sharpe will lead to a better run club resulting in Ryan Sparks going back to selling raffle tickets.
Then and only then will I return home.

It's well and truly sunk in and I'm still clapping and will commit to continue to clap next season and the season after and the season after that.

Like I've said many times, I enjoy watching city in the highs and lows.
A was at Chelsea, Burton, arsenal, villa, Leeds, league Cup final, play off final 1996 and 2013 and loads of other great games! I remember those much more then the shite games I've attended.
I'll still go home and away and support and clap what ever league we're in, it's what I did with my (dad god rest his soul) and brothers and now what I do with my brothers, my children and my nephews and i will continue to do so as I love it!!!!!!
    My kids love it!!

Season ticket sales better than expected and we are up to 13th in the table due to Morecambe being docked 3 points. What a time to be alive.

Regarding season ticket renewal ongoing total it appears supporters have once again dipped into their pockets regardless of the so called "other issues"
The love and care shown for our club is unbelievable we are backing the Bantams once again, now more than ever it's up to the hierarchy to deliver on all fronts.
Communicate with your loyal fanbase show you really care, we have.
