Every one of them. Wolf Shergold, possibly one of the worst players we ever signed but at least he came with Tom Hallett, one of the best who still comes to games. Jim Cuthbertson works match day hospitality and I went to school with one of Paul Burton's sisters who sits near me match days. Not a bad team that. Alex Smith was a good full back, think we sold him to Sarfend.

The team of my youth. Some great characters there. Played with Ian Cooper a couple of times, together with his brother Howard who went on to play cricket for Yorkshire. Spoke to Charlie Rackstraw a couple of years ago in the doctors in Bingley. He was looking very well. Loved Alex Smith, a great right back. Shame we don't have him now. Or any right back.

I thought alex smith went to huddersfield with paul aimson in return for cash, tony leighton and dennis atkins. It was all a long long time ago!

As Dubois says the team of my youth too.
My Mum used to work in market research for Tom Hallett's wife (I think she is/was called Rosie).
They once came to our house and I
remember being unable to speak in the presence of greatness.
He locked himself out of his car and had to break a quarter light to get in, I kept some pieces of the glass to share out with my mates.
I always remember he had the most incredible thighs on him.
I'm beginning to sound like a right oddball.

Could be right, Bernie, time dulls, however I'm sure he finished at Southend at some point, very good player. For $64,000, where did he come from?, my money is one of the Ossett clubs.

Mine too Park. Remained part timer for most of his career and worked at the Wool Conditioning House during the day. Didn't score many but against Spurs on a rock hard pitch he scored a belter. Think he emigrated to Australia.

He signed from Ossett Albion and according to Terry Frosts book"his style of play did not endear him to referees and following three bookings in each of season's 1966-7 and 1967-8 He was fined £10 and suspended for 14 days"
He finished his playing career at Halifax in 1976.

Correct, Smith and Aimson went to Town and we got Leighton and Atkins plus some cash which we wasted on a winger called Bruce Walker who was released the following season.

Ian Cooper , lived across the road from me , when i was a kid. He was always good for a kick about and is one of the reasons why i started to follow city , apart from not wanting to be like all my mates, who followed Ieeds, Liverpool, Man U , any one but their hometown team, who were deemed as shite. For which i was much ridiculed. At least i attended games unlike them.

Ah Tony Leighton had the biggest leap I have ever seen in a footballer he seemed to hang in the Air. Died far to young

In my 61 years of following City Tony Leighton along with Bobby Ham and Bobby Campbell were my idols, many many more would have come close though.....
