I wanted to go after the second. I never leave normally, and you can probably count on the fingers of one hand in the whole time I have been supporting. It was just awful, and I just thought I can’t bear it if they score again.

 

My record is 12 minutes or thereabouts. Palace at home, 2-0 down. Apparently a few left after 7 mins away to W Brom in cup, 3-0 down. There's more to beer than football.

 

72 minutes - that was an awful display! Shameful

 

I left after the 4th went in. If there’d been some fight in the time I’d have stayed. But they looked like they gave up after their 3rd. And that being kind because ‘giving up’ would suggest they got started at some point, which they never really did.

Obviously I wasn't there.

But even through various media channels, trying my best to remain positive - I still found myself folding my now dried laundry on the hour mark, followed by a brew.
Two bottles of Guinness remain untouched - A first for a long time.
To make matters worse - I didn't feel guilty or disappointed leaving my Lap Top ........... That hit later, as I caught a full results round up at about 5.30.

I'm almost resigned to the fact that this season which should have held so much promise, instead became full of desperation from the first game, and possible relegation is very much a reality.
Does it hurt, feeling this way ? Of course it does - But at my age, and all the years of following City, the tears no longer flow, and even any slight anger is now replaced with a mere burdened sigh.

Yet again, January is our Nemesis ........... Thank God the season ends later, in May. There is still time to turn this around, yet my expectations, hopes and dreams are devoid of any real positives to convince me City will be a League 1 side next season. I guess all that above just about sums up how I feel, even in the cold light of a new day.

 

I'll hold my hands up to going at half time, 2-0 down and freezing, slipped out of the McCall suite with the smokers but just kept going and didn't look back.
