Whatever the solutions are for developing our club on many different fronts, the one constant is that nothing will happen with Rupp and Rhodes running the show. Imo, the first step on the road to a better future will be conditional on there being a new leadership at the top.

Of course, it goes without saying that will require Rupp to sell the club at a mutually agreeable price to another owner. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening soon.

Meanwhile, JR continues to play his long game ....

I meant like a fans forum like a couple of seasons ago with the owners/manager etc rather than just with Ryan Sparks.

Kieran Maguire whom is an expert in this field, last week tweeted that Championship clubs for season 2018/2019 had total operating losses of £598.5M.

VP isn't in a terrible position. It's pretty close to a railway station and a major ring road. Better still would be bang on the Forster square retail site but of course that will never happen. Odsal is OK because you have the 3 lane Manchester Rd and the ring road converging on it. Low moor station isn't that close and the majority of our fans come from the other side of town. Central does make sense.

Because they wouldn't gain anything from it apart from more problems in turning people down. They have a finite stadium capacity.

It's the one thing that is always missed when these discussions come up. We're pretty unique in that we gave a 25k stadium but if we charged normal prices we would probably get 40% of that.

Shouldn't worry, highly unlikely any move would happen in most of our lifetimes...

Why would anyone put a ground anywhere near Baildon? A right pain to get to, nowhere to build it, and it's nearly in Leeds.

Howling at this thread. No wonder the club don't ask fans for advice on stuff. :joy:

It's just become post after post of people pointing out green areas of land in the Bradford district. Most of them, I'm guessing, within easy commute of their particular house.

However without figuring out where the spare £40m is coming from each of them might as well look like this.....

Good manager takes over shit team & fails, who'd have thought that? Hopefully we'll give SmC time to unshit our team.

A few similarities with us and Bolton in that we, at least for now, are in perpetual decline. Both clubs will be better next season, can't not be really. Both suffering on the back of chancer owners.

I don’t disagree with any of this post. I have agreed with every single post that wants both an interim plan to get us out of this league and a long term plan for the future.

I am becoming irritated at the ‘baying at the moon tactics’ of @Fordy117@Fordy117 who appears or fails to understand that Rupp is going nowhere until he receives enough money from another buyer. Rhodes is also staying as far as I can see to hold it all together.

I have now been labelled naive by two ppl on this forum because I believed what they said, I have now been provided with evidence that they were either lying or misrepresenting their part in our first admin. Rupp on the other hand says nothing and therefore his intentions and plans are the subject of speculations. We will have to wait and see what his actions are with regard to funding this club going forward. However, once I discover that someone has lied, I very rarely trust them again, they will need to work double time to put my mistrust of them to bed.

I agree SMc and KB will need to put their own plan to both Rhodes and Rupp and hopefully succeed in gaining the funds. I think we need a good quality albeit smaller squad, but I also want to see some thoughts and funding into the structure behind the manager.

You have not one jot of evidence to back up your rant at me. I have backed you when you have been thoughtful and sensible in your posts, but it annoys me when I have to skip your posts. You have picked up on a @Dennis@Dennis post where he is taking me to task for believing Rhodes account of the first admin and has called me naive. He has presented me with evidence that he holds that disputes what we were told. This is evidence that I cannot and will not ignore, and I have never heard before.

Obviously you have no idea who I am apart from my posts on here, but I laughed when you called me naive, as in my profession when I was working the very last thing anybody would call me is naive. Often in areas of professions that we do not have expertise, finds us looking for evidence and understanding of what we are looking at. I do realise that you like to paint with an enormous wide brush, but you miss so much if you do that.

This is what the Rhodes family did for this club in that period taken from the YP

he Rhodes family fortune was built by Julian's father, David, an electronics professor whose company, Filtronics, supplies the arms and telecommunications industries. Last year, when the family owed, jointly with Richmond, around £14m in personal guarantees for the club's debts and had handed over the deeds to their home, the company shares had slumped to 27p each and the family were contemplating possible bankruptcy. The scale of that personal commitment has not been unappreciated by the Bradford fans, who know they have been lucky to have genuine fans as backers.
