How did it ever get to this ?

Essential that we assemble a team capable of serious contention and primed for kick off July/August. Vital for the prosperity of the Club that pre-season is structured to deliver the changes needed to succeed and is focused totally on achieving promotion. Ordinarily a period of development and stability would suffice but I feel we have to regenerate an impetus through performance from the off.

 

If "the boys" are doing the job there paid to do whats the problem ?.
So if within your empire you had a job that you knew a good friend or family member was capable of doing as he/she had the relevant qualifications you wouldn't employ him ?.

 

It's a business. At times I bloody hate the bosses I employ and I am sure they don't like me at times. It's not a mates club. It's a business.

It's about gaining results driving things forward.

Sure Mr Rhodes is lovely but the butt kissing around him is embarrassing.

He needs to prove himself next season and I am not talking cheap season tickets for fans.

The whole City board need to prove themselves. Can't always hide behind Edin.

Plus all the footballing managers (Collins, Hopkins, Drury and Bowyer) have failed Bradford City this season by not gaining the desired RESULTS.

Bowyer fails next season then Rhodes and Rupp have to go. They've awarded failure. Really hope it works out and Bowyer does well next season.

 

Come on @Fordy117 you'll get accused of not answering the question, which you haven't, ever though of a career in politics ?.

 

Where is this family thing coming from? Julian Rhodes is not related to anyone as far as I can see. We need good talented employees who are prepared to go the extra mile. I might be the only person one but I trust JR to get it right.

 

Astounding?? There was a vast amount of support for him on all forms of social media including c&b and this place when it started up. Some fans just like to stick their fingers in their ears and close their eyes. The dissention started when we were actually doing pretty well and that itself should have set the alarms ringing but as usual with this club it's fans were just happy to plod along and clap happily.

 

Your right, @Goose things I was hearing I didn't want to believe rather than not believe who told me, I couldn't get it into my head why Rahic would do what he was doing, hearing his approach to club sponcors etc.
But too many were posting the same stuff so it was easier to believe.

 

A point I have made over and again. That underlines why it won't be a quick fix this ?.

I agree with main point of your post. We should certainly be looking to bounce back immediately but it won't be easy, with all the dead wood around the place. Butterfield would make that squad - he's better than Richie Jones, and Scannell, if fit - but no one else.

But, as for the History Makers scraping into the playoffs, that was entirely due to the Capital One Cup exploits. If you look at our league results before and after the giant killing period, there's no comparison. That team was clearly the best team in the division and would have got automatic promotion at a canter had it not had the historic cup run distractions.

 

Don't entirely agree with this, there were parts of that season where we looked anything but a promotion side, i think the cup run actually helped get us promoted. Take that out and i thought we looked an average side for a fair bit of that season. Never underestimate the Nahki factor.

 

I think if we'd had a good manager that season we'd have got automatic promotion rather than scraping the play offs.

The fact is we achieved almost a unique feat by reaching a major final played almost a record amount of games and still got to the play offs and won and when understandably the games started getting on top of us and when the results started faltering instead of collapsing Stuart style we got the character and spirit out of the players for success
