The fact that England are doing well using the system means that a lot of clubs will adopt it, especially younger coaches. I recall 442 doing the same after 66. It’s nowhad its day in my opinion.

Sounds about right mate, keeper, left and right full backs,left and right wing halves, center half, left and right wingers, inside forwards and your center forward.
I'm not suggesting formations arent a part of getting the best from players at your disposal but I much prefer good players rather than a good formation.

If you don't have good players you BETTER have a good formation, plan and ensure you play to it,

It is where we went wrong last season. When our players list form it seemed we couldn't change our plan or formation.
