Saturday sees Walsall visit VP. With 5 games gone, they have won one, drawn one and lost three. They most recently beat Stevenage by a single goal. Their two away games both ended in defeat.
Historically we have played Walsall 52 times, with 17 Wins, 21 Draws and 14 Losses.
After a break, we have found ourselves in the same division as Walsall and since 2013, played them 15 times, with 6 wins.
They have recently signed former Bantam George Miller, who at 23, is probably approaching a tipping point in his career.
Expect Walsall to defend and counter attack.
City with two losses in a row, have seen the early optimism wane.
Hope for a win, but sense it could be a draw.

Walsall won their last game with a very early goal and ended up with 38% possession, 7 total attempts and just the 1 on target.
I will settle for more of that and City to bounce back with a few goals.
Decent crowd to roar them on(once they get past the kiosks)
    What's not to like?

Back to form and a decent win. I'm going 4/1 with Sutton & Songo'o in the holding roles

A reaction, positive performance and 3 points.

    That's all I want.

On Bradford city Twitter - saying we have already sold over 15,500 for game with 2 days to go.

    Brilliant numbers.

we need a win saturday to keep up in the mix. Salford away the week after will not be easy. More of the Srevenage performance please.
2-0 city for me. Cook and Theo Larayan Ronaldo Shadiki Robinson on his debut late on to seal the win.

Except ‘Old Tom’ Robinson is undergoing ‘conditioning’ work and apparently wont be on the bench this Saturday.

I certainly didn’t expect him to get near the squad. Quite a few have picked him to score on Saturday? Not at Valley Parade he won’t!

I was not expecting Theo to start, just a ten minute cameo where he comes on to get a tap in and calm our shredded nerves.

So we've signed two forwards now, both of who aren't actually fit enough to play?

Clearly we're still paying players in chocolate buttons and only taking on players frozen out of other clubs.

I get that I sound very negative lately but as the smoke clears from Sparks pre season propaganda there doesn't seem to be too much to be positive about.

Perhaps 3 points may lift the mood a little but this already feels very familiar and there's an over whelming sense of de ja vu.

I assume you're referring to Lavery as the other player who is similarly not ready to play.

I was under the impression from Sparks' earlier interviews that we were intent on assembling a squad early in the transfer window so that there was time to practice playing in the Adams' style and by inference be fit and raring to go. And now we know that isn't the case. Given the long term injuries to Eisa and Angol, the lack of fitness of Lavery and Robinson, I just hope that nothing adverse happens to Cook before the alternatives are fit enough to play.

We're expecting a lot of a squad with currently only a single fit recognised striker.

Perhaps the pre season propaganda from Sparks had something to do with season tickets to shift.......

Exactly what it was. Positive spin to get bums on seats. Hence the 2k new season ticket holders etc.

Funny you should say that.... I noticed this morning in the T&A he was saying we want to be competing at the top end of the table, rather than saying that promotion is the aim.

Sparks' work this season revolved around getting the manager he wanted which he did and then people were getting excited because he was going to bring his players over from promoted Morecambe with him

We've yet to really see the best of Songo'o and he failed to bring in many others but he's assembled a proper L2 team with L2 players from L2 clubs

I don't know how there can be any negativity about assembling such an L2 side given we've just won three from our first five surely that shows we signed the players we needed to

Woah Dennis. Is it fair to say both Angol and Eisa both had played a number of games since they passed a medical and were injured whilst actually playing in a match? I saw Angol pull up after a challenge for the ball with my own eyes . Just like Thelkeld, just like Sutton, both injured during games. You aren’t saying they all somehow passed a stringent medical yet were purchased physically unable able to play football.

You said “ fit and fairing to go , yet now we know that isn’t the case”

You aren’t suggesting the medical team of professional doctors were wrong or they deliberately duped us, the fans, the club and the insurance company whose injury insurance premiums were paid to.. It’s one or the other, it can’t be anything else.

“ Yet we know that isn’t the case” ,
