    I also think back to Jewell and Kamara-both rookie managers. Both got their teams playing to their style and it was enjoyable to watch.

    I think they deserve a shot with their own team. Someday we have to trust in rookies and in the past apart from one notable recent failure (Collins) we have a good track record.

    Who would be a football CEO eh?

    Park, you can argue with me on any subject you want but not asthma, believe me me, I know more about it than you. It can be controlled, but only to a certain level. As far as Nobby is concerned, fitness levels and the intensity of the game are now completely different to 50 years ago.

    Let's see if we can at least go forward it a bit more,I've watched City for ages and can't remember anywhere near as many backpasses to the keeper as we're seeing now,most of them totally unnecessary.

    I thought Scales was doing well tbh, think he contributes more than Evans and is a youngster. Not sure why he isn’t getting some game time which could help his development.

    Sorry, but why unfair if we fielded what you perceive to be a weaker side to experiment?. Southend have had all season to pull themselves clear of relegation, so tough. We should look after ourselves.

    Harrogate rested 8 regulars to save them for Monday's FA Trophy final, yet still managed to beat Cambridge, who only needed a point to clinch promotion

    Sorry really couldn't disagree with you more on this Simon. Southend have had 44 games so far this season to help themselves, besides, who is to say Barrow havent rested some today against Southend?

    So, if it was us in that position, same, tough, it would have been down to ourselves to play our way out of trouble over the course of the season

    EDIT..Just as I posted, Southend go behind at Barrow, so not helping themselves, yet again

    Too slow.

    Too many passes backwards.

    Goalie kicks too long, and we lose possession.

    Our passes are either direct to or behind the winger, losing all forward momentum (apart from one peach to Vernan).

    Lack of intensity.

    We look poor defending set pieces (they really should have had a shot on target from that corner).

    No real options to change the game (the mythical Plan B).

    We are making Scunthorpe look a decent team.

    Shots on target ratio is pathetic.

    Another dour (approaching dire) display!

    Been a much better second half but a combination of loose passes and poor control have killed the few opportunities we've nearly created.

    Needed this urgency in the first half
