I'm so heartless! I think of it more as tough love

Can people remeber standing on the old crumbling kop in the 70's with crowds bearly pushing 2000. I can.
15000 fans at £150 is the same income as 8000 at £300.The difference is the benefits of more match day income from kiosk sales , replica kits etc and better commercial deals.
Yes i am well aware that the football club is a business, but it is not a normal one. If you don't like the product's at Asda , you go to Morrisons, Sainsbury's etc. If you dont like the football , you dont move to Leeds etc you suffer or you stay at home.
I am not against a raise in ticket prices , this is not the time. I was just suggesting that ,we the fans have a bigger role to play than just buying cheap tickets and attending on a match day or not!
It was Dundee utd fans who have given the club 2 -£100,000 donations in the past 12 months.Bronco likes this. -

I lose sleep over the money we're not raising to support a multi millionaire in his pursuit of his missing investment.

We've not had ST's for a couple of years after the kids got bored. I would pay more if I could see real improvement in the team and business strategy. This would include commited ownership, plans to buy ground, new improved training facilities and better catering etc.

I think someone should tell Aldi and Lidl to get those prices up they are taking to much business from the big four supermarkets

Some impressive trading there, just over the Christmas period.
Anyhow, we've both gone collectively on a tangent.Bronco likes this. -

The comparison with lower league football for some fans is that they expect to pay Aldi prices for M&S customer service and Waitrose product quality. And that combination isn't on offer. If we all want better quality on the pitch and better infrastructure quality, somebody has to pay for it and that should be the customer or the fans as we choose to call them.Meltham Massive likes this.
