How come it is a joke? The club/ref/opposition will all want the game to go ahead if at all possible. They are saying that at the moment it will go ahead but there is the possibility that the weather may worsen and therefore will inspect again at 1pm to be able to give an update. Whilst it is not the best scenario surely that is better than not saying anything until people arrive at 2.30 and then say "sorry folks, its off".

But that's not what they are saying is it? That's what you have interpreted from what has been said, which is shady to say the least. If they are going to faff about with decisions, they should at least have the decency to give those fans travelling some distance an explanation to their line of thinking.

It is the basic procedure that takes place whenever any match is under the possibility of being called off because of the weather. When he last inspected the pitch it was playable. BUT and its a definite maybe BUT the weather may deteriorate so to help all concerned I will look again at 1pm. That is still 2 hours before kick off. I appreciate it is not very good for those travelling distances but at least they can have their phones/radio on and get an update sometime on their journey. As I said surely anything is better than nothing.

Again, that is only your interpretation of the situation. The club have not stated anywhere that the ref has assessed the pitch as currently playable. It might be the case but because the club have not made that clear, for all we know the ref might have said it isn't playable but because there are still a few hours to go before kick off, he is willing to wait and see if a combination of further work by the ground staff and a dry spell will improve things.

Let's look at it as game on.
Anyone any thoughts on today's lineup. It's a must win game.

Does your mum still cut up your sausages for you?
Why dont you call the club and ask them instead of slagging them off?

Very poor communication all round especially in this era of social media. From what has been said its hard to decipher what the hell is going on. Nowt out for myself, couldn't care less whether its on or not, but for Plymouth fans its disgusting. Theres loads of information weather wise out there, if Boyesen thinks for any reason or has a shred of doubt regarding the next hour or two he should call it off.

I'm sorry it upsets you that I think the club should have given a clearer message to those fans that may be travelling some distance and were wondering whether or not to set off to the game today or not.

If this forum got to decide when games were off due to the weather then we'd have about 8 games in hand at this point

Them 2 or 3 points could be the difference between 12th and 13th come the end of the season.

The Bantams boss has recalled Dylan Connolly, Shay McCartan and Kelvin Mellor to his line-up, with Richard O'Donnell captaining the side.

Zeli Ismail and Jamie Devitt return among the City substitutes, while Callum Cooke - who has missed the last two weeks with a back injury - is also on the bench.

    CITY STARTING XI:

    1. Richard O'Donnell (c)

    2. Kelvin Mellor

    5. Ben Richards-Everton

    6. Anthony O'Connor

    8. Jake Reeves

    9. Lee Novak

    10. Clayton Donaldson

    14. Shay McCartan

    19. Dylan Connolly

    21. Hope Akpan
